Get me out of my parent’s house. NOW!!

I finished college with an IT degree, but it’s impossible to find a job. How do I escape? I’m applying to at least 20 jobs a day, but it’s not working. As of now I have ~2,000 dollars.

I installed lainchan and I can't get the catalog and the page links to work. I'll give anyone who can fix it $100 worth of eth. I'm assuming not op because he sucks.

Your resume is shit and you have no past work history. You need to add something to your 4 line resume to stand out more

Has anyone else noticed most jobs seem to be 'mid level' now, even though most workers should be entry/less experienced just because that's the way a pyramid of work/promotion should work? Businesses seem to no longer understand you need to hire entry level workers, before you can get mid level workers. This entire system is imploding.

Ideally, all of them. But comptia+/security+ are a requirement to be successful in the IT field.

>IT degree
What does that actually cover? Do you kode?
You should probably just lie on your resume about experience to get your first job.

>> No.55016804

>>55015799
Unironically an IT degree is completely worthless. In IT you need certs, nothing else matters. In CS you need a degree, nothing else matters. By nothing else I mean 'to get past the automated checkers', of course.
Your goal now is to apply to helldesk positions while pursuing your first cert. As the other anon listed, sec+ and net+ are good choices. You will probably not find a job until you have your first cert. Then you'll be in your helldesk position for a year while grinding cert #2 (which doesn't take long, but you have to run down the clock anyway) and then you can finally get an IT job.
Another issue is that all of the tech sector is extremely fucked right now, job market-wise. People with 15+ years experience can't get any job in dev roles and I read that people in IT are having a hard time even landing helldesk jobs.

Yes, we're in a pretty deep recession right now.
