My dad called me a day or two ago saying he was worried about the stock market. He's retired and my mom was let go and they're really worried about finances. They have a bunch in US Minimum Volatility funds and some AMZN shares. My dad wanted my advice on if he should sell and just stick with cash.

Did get some kinda shocking news though. All this time I figured my health insurance would be picked up by the state 100% once I retired. Cause that's how it always was if you were in Tier 1 lasting till age 65 (then I'd go on medicare). Well those fucks in the legislature put this little thing in back in 2008 under the radar that changed that; New hires from 2003 to 2008 they put retirees health coverage into a defined contribution plan. Means the state picks up only so much and the rest comes outta your pension depending on how much or how less your insurance options are at the time. I was hired in 2005.
