Daily reminder that finance is pseudoscientific make believe garbage and capitalism is inherently unstable, exploitative and unsustainable with a built in expiration date. Ever escalating recessions, poverty, debt, wealth inequality, monopolies, disease, pollution, exploitation, slavery, conflict and wars are fundamental, necessary and intended principles of it, NOT glitches. Greed, selfishness, lying, cheating, stealing, competition, conflict, slavery and war and overall evilmaxxing are behaviors highly encouraged and incentivized under capitalism. It is LITERALLY cancer and i dont mean it metaphorically, i mean it literally, it shares the exact same functions and principles as a cancer cell.

Unless every single financier parasite, banker, trader, stock market and bank is burned to the ground, the biosphere will be extinguished

This is the truth an machines wont change your fate. Only expedite it

Umm, he wrote this one with a fever, sick in bed
With his dickhead inside a chickenhead
No, a dead chicken's head, he said it help his nausea
If he lost ya', wait till he tell you about the flyin' saucer
Dag, the kickback'll leave your wig ragged
For a big bag of good grizzle and some Zig-Zag
Survival, keep a rival in denial
And bust what he got just for comin' out his pie-hole
Die calmer than a suicide-bomber
V just the type to do a hoo-ride with Momma
Said to James Bond, my name is Viktor, Viktor Vaughn
Told the chick the quickest way to get on, lickupon

>"CRABS could be here" he thought, "I've never been in this VIX range before. There could be CRABS anywhere." The cool wind felt good against his bare chest. "I HATE CRABS" he thought. Crab Rave reverberated his entire car, making it pulsate even as the $70-80 oil circulated through his powerful thick veins and washed away his (merited) fear of stagnant markets. "With a hedged portfolio, you can't go anywhere you want" he said to himself, out loud.

Kill crabs. Behead crabs. Roundhouse kick a crab into the breakwater concrete. Slam dunk a crab egg into the trash can. Crucify filthy crabs. Defecate into a crab's water. Stomp a pregnant crab with steel toe boots. Make crabs payout my VIX calls. Crack crab claws with crab claw crackers. Overtrap crabs into extinction. Throw crabs into a shark's mouth. Catapult crabs into a hot Red Lobster frying pan.

Are you telling me NVDA has a monopoly on tensor cores or something? Is this why NVDA is trading at 166 times earnings?

NVDA absolutely has a monopoly on AI training and inference. It's basically the standard. The attempts at competition from AMD and INTC are halfhearted at best. NVDA has an api called CUDA and that's what everybody uses. There may eventually be competition but we are a long way from it. AI is very much an overhyped meme at this point. It's fucking hilarious how all these companies firing workers and replacing them with AI are going to start to have to hire them back eventually, except useless dumb roastoids.
AI doesn't replace nearly as much as people think it does. The current main usage is to make realistic loli images (see /b/). It can't really replace business specific tasks as well as people believe. It gets a shit ton wrong even in gpt4 (I've used it a fuckton).

To answer your question, CUDA is currently the main platform/language by which you can write AI programs.Like one anon pointed out a few threads ago, this isn't necessarily going to stay the case forever, so it effectively means Nvidia is way way overbought, it's like they have bought it such that CUDA will never be replaced until like 2033 but the one thing that happens in programming is fast development and fast replication and iteration of existing tech.

I’m very cautious right now. I have been honestly embarrassed with the mega-cap leading the market indexes higher as I am underperforming the S&P by 600bps. I’ve seen this before and navigated through it. Through the Cramer four horsemen of tech and through the FANG top. I’ve seen it all. The indexes are crowded with the mega-cap and getting even more narrow. The majority of stocks are not doing well, and the AI craze has ripped the few higher, giving false comfort to people who continue to chase these overbought and overloved stocks. I study attribution and have for decades, and this is a real risk as we advance because the more narrow this gets with the mega-cap pushing the market indexes even more overbought and exhausted with the DeMark indicators giving exhaustion signals

It literally has to look up existing sample code, it can't innovate on its own, it's not nearly as smart as people think. You are clearly some normie like Musk who thinks AI will nuke us soon or some other dumb sci-fi shit. Fucking idiot lol.
It's way way overblown.
Yes it can answer a lot of basic queries very "intelligently" but it won't replace entire fields of work.
Let's say some boss wants to replace coders for example, is he going to create an entire business application using Chatgpt and wire it all himself?
There's a lot it won't do in it's current state. And businesses won't trust it to the point where they just trust it to autonomously manage a codebase. We're nowhere near that yet.

Fair points anon, I just think you answered it in how you said you got rid of the managerial "busy work" types. Those people are detritus. Idc about them at all and yes they should be replaced. There are just a lot more people to a company than those.

I kinda doubt it's at the point where it can handle anything more than basic accounting tasks yet btw.
Out of curiosity how are you implementing it? Do you just type your prompt into Chatgpt or have you actually implemented a business specific language model?
I'm guessing chatgpt. Most businesses won't even know how to implement a LM yet or even that they exist.

Those low level jobs that are eliminated will force a lot of people back into job searching all at once flooding parts of the labor market where work is similar. Also for every 5 or so of these low level jobs you eliminate you then eliminate a lower management position.

A lot of people will be hurt by AI even if it doesn't advance much, and the labor market will go through massive and unforeseen changes from so many people being put out of work all at once.

This is the kind of thing I've been wondering about a lot recently, it's just too early to tell how things will shake out and depends on a ton of factors. That scenario is possible but far more likely is how the other anons business implemented it, they'll just pay the $20 a month to chatgpt (it'll probably even come down in price closer to $10 once competition appears, actually already has appeared).
For a real estate management company, my guess is they would go the chatgpt route for a lot of menial shit, sure why not.

I can see AI reaching a breaking point whereby it develops true intelligence, scans every study, textbook, Twitter, tiktok, and 4chan comment ever made in the entirety of history, processes this for a moment, and immediately says "fuck the niggers" for the entire world to see in all its hyperintelligent and infallible glory
