single member LLC's are disregarded entities for tax purposes and the income would be reported on your personal tax return either as schedule C SE income or just "other income". Either way, not saving you anything in taxes. LLC for single member is more of a legal liability thing. The 1099 issued to your single member LLC might as well just be issued to you directly. Now if you had a partnership or S-Corp that was an LLC, there would be some things you could do, but the costs of filing the extra tax return would probably wipe out any savings and then some and open you up to more audit risk if you want to be a goofball and deduct things you shouldnt
