So these brc-20 tokens, are they just sats that have been signed with ordinal shit?
So if I have 21,000,000 fuck my ass token and people have that. Are they just stacking Sats? If yes won't this just be more demand for BTC? How does it work?

It's non fungible says that have been engraved with faggotry and use the Blockchain but can only be traded within their gay communities to keep track of them

It's NFTs dressed as tokens. Ordinal inscriptions of JSON data to mint and transfer tokens. No SCs. Imagine someone prints some monopoly money. But that money is so shit, it doesn't even have a coin format. So instead people trade in paper cheques. You want some? I mint a new cheque that says you get X of it. This is what BRC20 is. People are buying virtual NFT cheques of monopoly money. This is total insanity and will crash the entire crypto space.

Right so you're saying there's not really any limitation to how many can be minted? Because it's not actually tied to sats except for when you want to make a trade and you have to inscribe that tx on say unisat?

If btc is digital gold, then brc20 tokens are like gold coins with pepe stamped on them that are selling for more than the market price of an ounce of gold because they are collector’s items and are scarce.

>> No.54901356

>>54901250
yes I get that, but then why is gate.io selling these gold pepe stamped coins at retail price? how did they manage to get a hold of so many ordis, they claim it is the real brc-20 token meanwhile on Ordinals wallet people are putting up for sale 2 or 3 of them for 300 bucks, why did gate.io ruin the scarcity feeling of the token? you should only be able to buy ordi for $18 dollars if you buy really big batches of them on ordinals wallet.

it’s no different than any other token getting listed on an exchange.

Can anyone tell me how to get my brc-20 PEPE off this clusterfuck ordinals wallet?? I see I have 1000 available but it says 0 is transferable. Do I have to “create transfer inscription”? I just wanna send it to gate.io

>> No.54901920

wrong, they are like a ledger stamped on every single gold coin in the world (where the gold itself could also be seen as a ledger unit)

wait for all the transactions to be confirmed. Then make the transferable and wait till the transaction is conffirmed. Then wait some hours till the new inscription appears and then you can send it to gate.io. But don't send it yey, lots of users are having problems. It seems like the BRC-20s tokens are sent there, but it doesn't show up in balance.

someone macgyvered nfts on to bitcoin and it's pretty jank then someone macgyvered some janky memecoins on top of that. so now bitcoin has like a shitty half-ass family of tokens like ethereum does only without any smart contract functionality so you can only buy and sell these crude tokens they serve no other functions.

resulting in the most transactions awaiting approval in bitcoin history and slowing down the chain, which some say isn't a concern and some say it is.

Wtf is this> its just json IN scripted on a block? like just some text? why cant anyone "issue" more by just inscribing whatever they want on the blocks? I can just add some text right saying i own all the ordis?

They're not collectors items or scarce. There's no limit to how many you can make. There's nothing prohibiting anyone from right click save as, or making duplicate tokens of the same thing. It's just the great 'tard rush of '23. It's just another scam piggybacking on a popular meme.
