There are likely at least a few people on this board who are actually interested in the development of the space and, in the depths of the 1st bear market rally, interested in discussing technical concepts as a refresher away from the frog/wojak/bobo/mumu meme coins of the last week or two.

I understand the absolute basics of eigenlayer and a lot about chainlink. How do these two projects compare from a technical standpoint and, assuming all of eigenlayer's hopes come true, how does oracle development, and specifically chainlinks CCIP, fit into the world of restaking?

I promise I'm here as neither a shill/fudder for either project, just interested in some good technical discussion from people who know more than I do.

tl;dr: EVE ISK is a better digital currency than 99.99% of theoretical e-money.

BTC seems to have done pretty well, other L1s may or may not make sense, but really like, MMORPG gold is the standard of digital money. If you're thinking harder than Runescape or Counterstrike Skins, you're probably fucking this up.

Digital value is more dependent on perceived social value than any previous form of value storage. Online games have this because a community creates a social circumstance to display wealth.

You can't math your way into having a community. Maybe go make a game or something.

In all fairness fuck corpo crypto. You got the benefit of the doubt, you fucked everyone over that gave you that benefit and facilitated illegal activity. Good luck. Fuck your industry

But... thats what we invented crypto for. That's mission accomplished. Who onboarded you?

As said good luck don't expect any support when Gary goes after you. May you rot in hell having successfully sucked fascist boots and for a hand of silver coins sold the sovereignity of crypto

anyone who is not a btc-maxi care to respond?
the fundamental question is how do restaking and ccip intercompare

>>54868427
im sorry but i fundamentally i believe btc will be flipped due to its inability to adapt and innovate in the one of if not the most innovative technical spaces in the world, your opinion here about securities is irrelevant to my question and this discussion

Wait you believed the bullshit about zoomers being into evm and leading da innovation I astroturfed until recently. God I need to stop astroturfing narratives, no matter how ridiculous they are there are always fools taking them as gospel

>>54868598
i have absolutely no idea what you're speaking to but i know from being in the space since 2013 that btc has fundamentally not allowed new things to be built upon it for the sake of its own libertarian narrative
im here to make money and understand technical developments, i don't give 2 shits about your desire to fuck the (((bankers))) through bitcoin, you will fail as every other civilization has in the past

Well I can't tell if this is a bot reply but it's of course wrong. Bitcoin has innovated a lot since its humble beginnings. Tarproot and now ordinals and brc-20. Not to forget it's legal tender in multiple countries and has become the go to second hand hedge against local currency and dollar weakness, where eth is a corpocrized casino chain with start ups doing illegal capital raises and investor fraud

anyone care to answer my actual question regarding ccip and restaking instead of trying to shill btc on /biz/ of all places?

Go start your own thread, the OP wanted to talk about Eigenlayer.

>>54868343
I think Eigenlayer would capture all market share from ETH only oracles over Chainlink. It isn't logical to use a separate collateral token when oracles can be substantiated by staked ETH.

>> No.54868738

>>54868343
do i even have to check to see if it's bankrolled by paradigm and the mev mafia? these fuckers are desperate to undercut chainlink in every possible way. but eth native oracles is a retarded idea, most dapps will want to use the same infra cross chain and there's also obviously the fact that sourcing reliable premium api data is more complicated than just running a validator node, oracles are complex and chainlink wont be replaced by some half assed vc attempt no matter how much they claim in their marketing that oracles are easy to replicate

im not suggesting it would be replaced, the prof developing it has said in the past oracles are seperate from the space, but restaking to my mind is a significant technical interoperability development that warrents discussion in the context of ccip

>Oracles (Lightweight AVS): There have been proposals for enshrining price feeds into Ethereum,
or using the Uniswap token quorum for providing price feeds [13]. Such oracles can potentially
be built via Eigenlayer if all we require is majority trust on ETH restaked with EigenLayer, and
it is an opt-in layer.
