I just dumped my Roth IRA. Sold my used car and antique Walther collection. I netted 122k and bought 80k of silver and 4k worth of gold. The rest I purchased was a mossberg 500 with a lot of ammunition, a build it yourself ar15 and a few pistols. I bought enough food for 4 years and enough water for 2 with a means to filter and clean my own water from my watershed. I also bought gas masks, basic fatigues and ballistic body armor with anti cut, anti flame weaved clothing. I'm not a juggernaut but I think this should be enough to defend my stash possibly.

I think that's the point. There's not enough metals to back world trade right now, so they'll have to back it with fractional reserve and increase the value of metals by ~1000x.

but to do that they first need to make sure nobody has any metals when the price goes up.
