Man, I've never seen FUD to the extent that has been happening in /pmg/ threads, lately.
Nobody is going to just sit in threads all day, posting hundreds of posts about how good metals are as an investment, getting into simultaneous arguments with people and making pathetic attempts at memes all day for weeks on end, just out of the goodness of their hearts, to try and help people make a good investment.
There is definitely money behind the FUD shills, they have been employed by (((coin dealers)) who want people buying silver, in particular.
They've even started making multiple threads to disrupt /pmg/ cos they couldn't use arguments and were unable to make the threads unbearable (despite a lot of effort on their part).
The only conclusion that can be drawn is that we are over the target.

Next, I don't know if vinegar works, but the idea is to create an electrolytic connection between the Al and the Ag, basically 'plating' the Al with S provided by the Ag. So the liquid needs to be conductive. Hence, you use baking soda.
As a mix, baking soda and vinegar together will be quite reactive. I wouldn't do it.

That's how I've been cleaning some of my coins. I let them soak in the vinegar for a bit, then gently rub them with baking soda until I get the desired shiny, then do two ice cold water rinses then air dry them. Been working fine so far, haven't had any issues.

if you have them out of the tube then I'd recommend silica gels and antitarnish cloth probably. Plastic box is probably superior to wood, but neither one is going to keep air away from the metal, and it's the air that causes tarnish.

at least you're not on the coast. Salt in coastal air is pretty corrosive. Also don't cook meth in your house or store corrosives inside where your metals are, but that's obvious.
