Even the poor Hollywood writers are barely scraping by. How do I profit from this?

Set up your own movie studio and cinema, call on writers, actors, cinematographers.... to come work for you and make what you want. Start with indie movies and expand your empire, or at least your anti-woke ideology, all over Hollywood. end problem. Be the revolutionary and control the game instead of being controlled and can only whine.

I guess I could get the writers on the cheap now, right?

>> No.54815653

>>54815624
they are even starving as the article says. The problem of cheap is that their quality may not match your idea because if their skills are really high then why are they short of money. Do you dare to invest and trust for such people. It's your choice to trade for the future you want

[Anarchy]: Sure thing, here's your script:
Title: Unlikely Friends
Opening shot of three friends smoking weed in a park. We see:
JOSH: a Jewish stoner who's always hungry and loves conspiracy theories.
JAMAL: a gay black guy who's into fashion and has a wicked sense of humor.
KIM: an Asian transgender cyclist who's passionate about social justice and environmentalism.
The three friends are all struggling with different issues. Josh's dad is a right-wing conservative who disapproves of his lifestyle but tries to be supportive. Jamal is dealing with a homophobic boss at work, and Kim is trying to find a way to raise awareness about bike safety.
One day, Josh's dad invites the three friends over for dinner. Josh is nervous, Jamal is excited to meet Josh's dad, and Kim is skeptical. When they arrive, they're greeted by Josh's dad, who's awkward and uncomfortable around the group.
As dinner progresses, tensions rise as Josh's dad makes offensive comments about Kim's gender identity and Jamal's sexuality. The three friends try to keep the peace, but eventually, they can't take it anymore and storm out.
The next day, Josh's dad shows up at their apartment, apologizing for his behavior and asking for their forgiveness. The three friends are surprised but ultimately decide to give him a chance.
They spend the rest of the movie trying to bridge the gap between their different worlds. They take Josh's dad to a Pride parade, where Jamal shows off his fashion skills and Kim educates him about bike safety. They also take him to a dispensary, where Josh introduces him to some of his conspiracy theories.
In the end, Josh's dad comes to accept his son's lifestyle and becomes friends with Jamal and Kim. They all smoke weed together and laugh about their differences.
The End.

ehhh I dunno. Needs work but that's off the first prompt and it's probably plenty to work with

Sounds like the market's doing its job. I've worked in comedy writing for years - exclusively as a freelancer who punches-up stuff for a handful of pros - and there's probably 25 funny people in the whole industry. Most of them are over 50. The rest could - and should - be put out to pasture by AI.

needs more conflict and struggle. Maybe Josh's wife recently died and he's all fucked up from it and in the end becomes a trans woman or something idk.

The difference was back then they had bargaining power. No AI to compete with and they could actually write worth a damn. Hollywood hasn't produced anything good in years, so I welcome the writers hastening their own obsolescence. Worst case scenario nothing changes except more shitlib californians become homeless.
