Early D/P Pokemon sets at PSA 9 or above

If you can find old MTG legacy/Power 9/ early sets you should be golden. Same with boxed sets.

WoTC has been flooding the market with 50 different variations of products so it might be a bit harder to pick winners but typically revisits of popular sets tend to do decent or even mechanics/tribals. (Faires, Phyrexian, Ravnica, etc), Duel Decks and Commander sets tend to hold up very well also.

Lastly, old oversized cards hold up very well.

Well yeah sealed base set, really anything sealed up to XY probably will make you good money someday. But it’s really hard to say if Pokémon will keep growing at this point, most of the millennials that grew up with it are old, zoomers are almost there too. Does anyone younger really care enough to keep these prices high? We’ll see. But yes, classic slabs and sealed product are probably the best you could be buying. I just think it’s cringe when people have sealed booster boxes of recent sets that a million other people are hoarding to sell in the future too.
