I buy a deep ITM call LEAP on QQQ (2.2 years out). I buy an ATM put at the same exp date. Pic related. Max loss is around 5k if QQQ closes below $315 in two years. I sell 7 DTE covered calls ATM against my long LEAP (when stock price is above $315). And roll to a new 7 DTE at expiration. Generally, the premium will be $300 when/if IV drops to normal. Basically I only need QQQ to stay above $315 for 4 months in order to break even (5k) with the covered calls. Max profit is over 30k if stock price stays above $315 and I sell the 7 DTE calls then entire time.
