I've been thinking about this and it's quite easy. Once you have enough money to cover basic stuff you'll begin to wander into hobby zone. For some it's all about having the perfect lawn, a car you wrench on, PCs , videogames, boats, etc. Everything adds up pretty quickly. Even just investing (gambling) in the stock market/cryptos at that point is done out of boredom.

Made it in the last run. I now have a subsistence farm in the middle of nowhere. My current endeavour, other than tending my creatures and family, is to build an archive that will survive the next solar outburst / massive flooding event. It consists of archive grade printed books; mostly of engineering, science, and machinery. It also consists of large hermetically sealed concrete casks of food, water, tools, materials, etc. Electronics are in faraday cages. The SMD shit won't last long into the new stone age, but they will be useful in the interim until we can start manufactoring vacuum tubes. There is also a shit load of high wattage through hole components packed into a faraday cage in one of the casks. I'd like our people to get a jump on the competition in the next cycle.

I think it would be cool to make movies purely for their artistic merit and not have to worry about attracting an audience.
