And allegedly there is a 30 day holding period for the fund to become "marginable". So right now my account isn't applying that $25k to my tradable balance so my essentially locked and can't place any orders until that holding period is up and it should become marginable. But then I have another $5k cash set aside not in the MM fund to buy long puts and calls for swing and scalp plays. But right now I cant access any of that until the MM fund gets applied to my available day trading balance. I was selling naked options in 2022 and got heemed pretty good with no experience and a large starting capital amount. Hard dollar stop loss limits is the key. Don't actually place the stop order, but it's there mentally and when it gets hit you get out. No questions. No thinking. You either have a system or you don't have a system.

Exactly my point. It's hilarious how many people like you trust some fox news headline over reading the contents and looking at the actual data in question. The whole thing was about those LLPAs. A slight flattening of the curve for low credit, and a few higher tiers added to the top end. Report on the differences, and suddenly you can claim that high credit borrows are subsidizing the rest.
Meanwhile if you actually look at the thing, there is not a single point on the chart where a person of higher credit pays a higher rate than lower credit. Not to mention this entire thing is about one tiny adjustment factor appended to the buying price, which is dwarfed by the differences in the actual mortgage interest rates accessible to varying credit rates.

Reminds me of that retirement survey recently that news sites took to mean zoomers (median age 18) had an average of $33k in 401ks.

I cant argue against that I wont lie; however, people are now being forced to pay a fee for having good credit. That's fucked.

FRC may be seeing at temporary cash negative to their deposit rates, but their holding an asset portfolio that prices their stock at 12x the current price, and 7x the price from 2 days ago. Even if they had to liquidate at 75% loss, the book value is 3x current.

There's no fee at all if you put 30% down and have decently high credit.
