you will never have mass adoption if big money can't have transparency

even discounting the kike inflation the USD has suffered, the majority of wealth is commercial and they will never ever ever use a currency that can't be easily audited

BEST case scenario is it plays a utility token to something else (like Bitcoin), which already has privacy tools available to it

its just more midwit cope from an {altcoin}-maxi.
monero is a nice idea but it's only able to survive in the shadow of bitcoin like most alts. it's woefully insecure with its minimal hash rate, it needs a full rewrite to keep up with the minimum viable privacy cryptography of the future, and if you've ever looked at the monero codebase you'll know what a complete disaster it is.

it's very much a blockchain of its current time, with no real path forward into the future without a large investment of time and money. very possible for it to get, but people have to care about monero's success instead of simply dealing with any private digital currency of the future.

most of the people actually using monero (not bagholders like >>54711512) seemingly aren't willing to fund it's continued development and evolution, they're just there while it works and will skip town to something else like many did with tornado cash before it got sanctioned.

monero is in dire need of funding and has a serious dearth of development talent. no amount of bagholder cope is going to help monero now, or it'll end up like other dead alts with insane communities like raiblocks/nano.

monero is a technology, and it's technology is rotten at the core. the utility it provides is real, but as long as it's full of midwit maxis like you that don't understand what makes monero tick it's doomed to irrelevance.

are you willing to throw a few thousand xmr at the developers to upgrade monero for the long term future? do you even have a few thousand xmr? if you don't then you need to sit down.

monero's problems are not going to be solved by trying to get retail to buy some pocket change worth of xmr. it needs real users, not desperage bagholders, and it needs real developers, not larping midwits like fluffypony.

>monero is the best currency that exists
simple as really

Monero is the only currency where I've sold a lot of digital and physical stuff on moneromarket.io. Yes, completely normal and legal stuff, just like I would on Ebay.

Monero is the only currency I actually use, and hold as it moves pretty much same as Bitcoin these days.

Monero is the only currently for which I run a node. I run it at home on my own regular PC hardware, on own internet connection. Compare to shit like Ethereum the "decentralized" nodes of all run on AWS and shit.

It's the only currency for which I mine. No need for ASIC. No need for giant capital, nor for an ultra high availability server you can't realistically host at home without slashing risk. Oh and I mine on P2Pool which is a decentralized pool. Just one of those real "decentralization" things that actually exist and work on Monero unlike every other currency. Funnily enough, like many things, the idea was originally on Bitcoin/Litecoin/Dogecoin, but there, it's flawed abandonware, whereas in Monero, it actually works. Says a lot about who actually gives a fuck about decentralization.

It's the only currency where I can give one address to the open public with my name on, one address to the kinky porn shop, one address to the black market, one address to the children's lemonade stand, and not worry about anyone snooping around my transactions, let alone tying the addresses together. It's absolutely incomprehensible to me how Monero is the only internet currency that takes this assurance, and the peace of mind it brings seriously.

I simply cannot take any other form of internet money seriously. Like, transparent ledger? Hello? Are fucking serious? Do you even internet? Holy shit.

1 of 2 things are true

you have read what monero is, and since you are a greedy little niggershill, you for perceived financial gain will choose to steer the public away from the best currency

2 you haven't read what monero is, and you are really dumb as shit

>muh infinite supply
This has to be bait at this point. This shit was explained billion times.
https://petertodd.org/2022/surprisingly-tail-emission-is-not-inflationary

Also at the highest the inflation is 0.8%, which was set so as to be half of the gold's. This alone should end all discussion about this retarded FUD. Tail emission has already started so this peak inflation point is already behind us BTW. And this tail emission wasn't added just because. There are very good reasons why it's worth it.

For retards:
>To clarify a bit more, let me explain with an analogy:
>Imagine a balloon.
>We're filling it with water at an absolute, constant rate (0.6 XMR tail emission).
>Imagine now there is a hole in the balloon. This represents coin loss.
>As the balloon fills with water, it stretches, and the hole gets bigger. (Coin loss is characterized as a percentage rather than an absolute value)
>Eventually the balloon stretches to the point where the water leaking out of the hole is the same as the water we're putting in it.
>Balloon now has a constant size. It has reached equilibrium.
>From the point of view of the user, the effective usable supply becomes constant. From the point of view of the miner, there is always a trickle, providing incentive to mine. It's the best of both worlds, and I think it's genius.
>What effectively happens in a roundabout way if you think about it (on very long term), is that the lost coins are slowly being trickled back through miners.
>It's also nice to know even if all monero became unusable somehow, there is a trickle of new ones always being made.

>>54739637
BTW even if we disregard* lost coins, there is still a separate mathematical fact. Remember high school math limits: If you mention infinite supply, you're necessarily implying infinite time. Monero's inflation is always decreasing. That is to say, over infinite time, the inflation tends towards zero. You can say Monero is 0% inflation with the exact same math which allows you to say it's infinite supply. Again, to be clear, this inflation bitshits are crying about is 0.8% at its worst, and will only ever get lower in a completely predictable, smooth manner.

* Which you can't, because *any* rate of coin loss, even the tiniest one, makes the supply mathematically impossible to be infinite. And unlike limits which happens over infinite time, this settles in finite (albeit still a long) time.
