Listen, so I know the gap between buying old and new is closing, but what the actual fuck. I mean I know it's a sqaure-body so people want it more but seriously? 14k? What's your opinion? Is this going to be a temporary phenomena for a few more years or is it the new norm? Keep your old trucks running to put to work cause buying them now is fucked? Or sell them cause it's profitable?

I agree to a degree. My I've had my 95 for 8 years and it's never given me trouble, I get it. But never did I expect it to go UP in value. It's just odd to me.

inflation "going down" doesn't mean that your purchasing power is restored to what it was x number of years ago. it means that your purchasing power stays where it is, rather than eroding even further.

I low ball people all the time. Like stupid low (10% if list price). Not because I actually think there’s a chance they’ll accept just because I think it’s funny to waste people like this time and how mad they get.

For example I had some mid 60s boomer threaten to “kick my ass” because i told him that “I’d buy that for a dollar” when he listed his old gas lawn mower on Craig’s List for $700.

BOOMERS. It's not like he's going to take the 14k or the truck with him when he kicks the bucket but knowing the boomer mentality he'd rather send it to the scrap yard and demolish the truck purely out of the my way or the highway principle.

The boomer invented cash for clunkers purely to prevent the next generation from owning cheap automobiles
