in germany there is, if somebody owes you money, a legal procedure where you can easily use the judicial system to get a title (Titel in germany, which is the right to legally enforce by a bailiff). No court, just a paper you fill. The guy owing you money can object, but that might lead to court and a judgement, which will make everything more cost intensive for him.

So, would you owe me money. I'd do exactly that.
