"What happens when people stop saving money?

If considering real money, silver and gold, then we get what we have now... a big fat judeo-sized ponzi scheme... where silver and gold are mocked, ridiculed, and undervalued;but all the fiat denominated "assets" are pushed into larger and larger bubbles.

If considering fiat currency, when people stop saving fiat it leads to hyperinflation... the fiat becomes a hot potato that everyone tries to spend as fast as possible just to get rid of it.

Right now, people in third world countries spend their local currency and save in dollars and euros... and even if they save some in silver and gold, they either don't have access (silver) or don't have enough purchasing power to make much difference (gold).

When people in White Western leading nations decide to stop saving fiat derived instruments, and start saving silver and gold, that's when everything changes, because Whites have the access to metals and spending power to dominate those markets.

And in that day,the zionist bankster families and their entire house of cards will fall to the ground."

I really believe that metals are going to be the next bitcoin. Bitcoin is really worth jack-shit in the end, and it still inflated to 60k each. Absolutely massive, the only thing it has over metals is that it's easy to trade online -- but buying them in the first place is much harder with KYC.

If there was an actual online gold-backed currency that didn't just lie about their reserves, it would be great.

But yeah metals in a material sense alone are a great investment.

As part of my inheritance my father left me roughly 180k USD worth of gold/silver/ coins, bars, jewelry and some gemstones. I dont plan on selling it mostly because much of it has been in our family for centuries but if I was to speak from a financially sound perspective, why on earth are these a sound investment? I can see it if you are some burger that thinks their country is going to die in some extreme way but at that point I don't see why you wouldn't just leave the country for somewhere more stable. Might have to put that on my list of foreign stuff to get. I'm also looking at the 1907 Philippines Peso that was minted in San Francisco. All my numismatic silver and one gold coin were minted there. They quit making Morgan dollars in 1904, so it's neat to find out they made coins for other countries too.

Yep, I think if someone is ok already with the costs of storage and protection along with the varying risk of fakes then they're probably going to be fine with the premiums as well.

/pmg/ got started in 2019 when premiums on an ounce of silver were a buck or two, and kept right on stacking through premiums of $10-$20 per ounce during the squeeze. While I personally would never pay that for random bullion, I'm not much bothered by people that do. But then I sell coins to support my coin collecting habit so premiums I pay are just a business expense and premiums I charge are profit.

You hang out in your room all day only coming out to tie up my bathroom for an hour and a half. What the hell are you even doing in my bathroom for an hour and a half? And why do you only go in there when I ask you to feed your dogs or empty the dishwasher? It's not the end of the world, just do your chores. I'm paying thousands a month and working my ass off so you can sit in my bathroom for an hour and a half every time I ask you to do one simple chore. Holy shit. I sure enjoy your company though. Also nice gold bars, you know I bought those right? Right? I'll sell them next time I'm short on whiskey or smokes. Better hide them, I've got an hour and a half to find them every day while you're in my bathroom.

>I'm asking if there's a more efficient way to obtain silver, maybe closer to spot than ugly ass rounds even. Can I trade gold for silver at coin shops for spot?
The "cheapest" way to obtain physical silver is generic bars/bullion, or rounds but not currency such as liberties, eagles, libertads, and other stuff that looks like it came from government. If you buy for example 500toz of 1toz generic bars they'll give you a better price than if you bought 5 total ounces. I suggest AGAINST buying a 1000toz bar for example because who the fuck are you going to sell that to? No individual will buy it. Most pawn shops and coin shops will refuse it because its such a slow moving product. YES they have better per-ounce prices, but its so illiquid that its a bad idea.

Ignore these 2:

Paper silver investments is moronic. You cannot sell it, you can't touch it, it only exists on paper because allegedly some companies have been caught selling paper silver they don't physically own. Its only worth the paper its printed on.

Anyone else go to shop recently? How busy was it? I waited in line for hours and when I got there all the silver was gone. Even the Canadian junk, the shop owner apologized and said I could order some and get it in 2 weeks. I told him I couldn’t wait 2 MORE WEEKS! He said sorry but everyone in town is completely out, as I walked out the door he said
>“it’s happening!”
>I turned 360 degrees around said “i know… Agggh I know! Why didn’t we listen”.
>He, tears streaming down his face said “we had SIX THOUSAND god damn years!”

>retard doesn't understand why bitcoin has value to begin with
bitcoin has value because its speculative fiat. It doesn't have any purpose or value and just like beanie babies and tulips, its only worth what people are willing to pay for it. Today its a lot. Next year it might be worthless.

I generally don't criticize poorfags, except when they give bad advice because of their situation.
This is a case where your perception of what's marketable is clouded by your personal reality. I assure you, 100 ozt bars are quite liquid. And pawn shops cater to a... class of individual with resources similar to yours.

Someone mentioned the Balboa last night so I found one for myself. He let it go for $35. I've never seen a large cent in real life so I picked up one of those.
I was kinda looking for junk silver. There wasn't much there. Maybe 10 tubes or so. I'm in need of 4 Franklin halves, but it didn't look like I could take partials, so I didn't bother asking.
