I can't go too deep into my strategy but an analysis of high yield spreads, cash VIX term structure, and SPX implied volatility made it clear to me January was a bear trap. It was never even close to a good short. What I'm looking at today though? This is happening. It's not a textbook perfect setup so it could still be a few days but give it a week, week and a half tops and the market is going to take a dive. Any shorts from this point forward will print. One thing to keep in mind fellow bobos is how plumb fucking bananas the dollar has been during this entire rate hike episode. This has severely distorted the index charts, SPX in particular. A lot of the big SPX moves last year were greatly magnified by the value of the dollar changing. Then other times when the SPX should have moved more it didn't because the dollar was going the other way. If you're doing any charting at all be sure to account for changes in the dollar or your analysis will be highly subject to under and over estimating moves. You'll either get in too early or too late every time. Just something to keep in mind
