No idea how this plays out and over how long of a timeframe but my feeling is things are building up to a point where it's going to happen fast. The Fed hiking rates into a weaking economy is unprecedented and it tells me that they are winding up the printing machine to try and kick the can down the road once again. This will have global repercussions that will further sow distrust in the Fed and the dollar. The next milestone for bitcoin will be 1 bitcoin= a home but I could picture a scenario where it goes higher. Some in gov may try to blame bitcoin and enact some type of capital controls but this will only backfire by causing a striessand effect. Imagine blaming bitcoin for a financial collapse when there's several videos of these people calling bitcoin a joke?

If Bitcoin reaches gold's mcap, we are looking at 1 bitcoin=$500k. Not making it, but that'll be the next milestone. Now given the uncertainty in the financial markets and the risk of downside in the dollar denominated markets such as bonds, bitcoin can be seen as the safest and most practical place to have your money. Bitcoin is one of the few assets I actually feel good about buying right now.
The question is not the price of Bitcoin, but how large can it's mcap grow because it's still rather small compare to other asset classes. Bitcoin is an asset class that can thrive in a currency crisis unlike most stocks, bonds, and derivatives.
