Huh??? They wanted to use Link and per usual CL “wasnt ready”. So in CL’s view, you just have to shut down your business while they finish developing their product. WTF is that? And also literally everyone was using Pyth at the time, GMX included. It is pointless from a business sense to start making enemies for no reason, especially when your product isnt even out.

Idiots who know nothing in tis thread.
Synth is going with pyth only temporarily till Chainlink releases the low latency solution they can use. They are only pissed that its going to deploy on Arbitrum for GmX before synthetix can use it. They feel like they should have been prioritised rather than on if their biggest competitors getting an advantage with something they felt they controbutrd heavily too. They still fully intend to use LINK when they get that option but they admit they cant allow a competitor to just massively gain marketshare while they wait so using pyth is a bit of a desperate temporary solution.

I absolutely understand why they feel that way but they are also going to use LINK the moment they can use it

They are fully intending to pay up when they even have the chance. Thats why they are upset, GMX got the chance first and now they have to sit on their hands and wait a while. Synthetix is one of the oldest and biggest close working advocates of Chainlink. They are just suffering from increased competition these days. It seems they dont care that their help to develop low latency oracles will be benefiting others, just that a competitor is getting benefit first.
Its well known the development process and chainlink relies heavily on working with devs to come up with products that fit market demand.

I swear to fuck you are fucking brain dead. Synthetix will use LINK the moment it is available to them and yea they have said that.

What help? You mean the specs? Top kek.

>Synthetix will use LINK the moment it is available to them and yea they have said that.
Post proof then.

Instead of waiting for a high quality and heavily tested and secure solution from Chainlink, Synthetix went out of their way to actually help a competitor Pyth develope a cheaply made alternative. Now, when Chainlink was done with the solution, they have the audacity to demand priority? Get the fuck out of here.

Because chainlink wont launch it on optimism where synthetix is. Synthetix is nothing like arbitrum snakes. They have literally been working with LINK since main-net launched day 0.

Idk why you are being so fucking hostile about this. They fully intend on using LINK once it is avaliable for them. They have large competitors these days like gmx. What exactly do you want them to do? They clearly are not even please about using pyth as you can see itt due to it being sub par but they are also desperate not to lose market share while they wait for LINK. They will jump for joy and abandon pyth the moment they can.

Like what do you expect them to do? Im curious? You want to them to wait till they can lose link and give up market share to competitors? As a business i can see why they are forced i to this compromise they’d rather not do.
Just because your only sources are spoonfeeds in this thread and your gay twitter consumption doesnt mean it isnt out there. Go read their forums. They stated they want to use LINK when it is available and there is absolutely no compromise on that, that they were just accepting temporary proposals till then from other oracles.

Agreed fully. If I have a client thats wants to use my services and I tell them Im not ready, how ridiculously childish would it be to hold a grudge for them going elsewhere in the short term. And then throw in the fact that they they helped design the product, AND now I take said product to their competitor. Its just bad business. Im not speculating on Chainlink personally because for all i know there are NDAs with arbitrum(launch there first) or complications with Optimism. Maybe Synthetix originally planned to launch on Arb for low latency oracles with chainlink but jumped on Optimism as it came first or something. Maybe this resulted in a fragmented chaotic development cycle for it and its why Chainlink continued on Arbitrum for this.

We know nothing of the details so personally i wont make judgment for that

Pyth is an oracle solution designed by Jump Trading, the biggest market maker in crypto currently. They were deep with FTX/SBF, bankrolled Luna and Solana. They're late comers to crypto so missed out on eth but they're very well capitalized so their plan is to copy and recreate proven ecosystems. They're working alongside similar VCs and market makers like Wintermute.

Pyth already failed multiple times before but seems more stable now, no issue since the snx adoption as far as I know. But it's still an inferior solution on technical levels. They're also behind Wormhole bridge, ccip biggest competitor, and it got hacked for like 300 millions. Due to being late comers and opportunists with private interests instead of benefiting open communities, they rush to release with poor security and they don't care because they can bailout their temporary failures.

They're also extremely unethical and ruthless. Which is how they land grabbed synthetix. They bought a lot of tokens, negotiated a market making deal in their favor, and then proposed snx to integrate their oracle, snx had to agree because it's now controlled by jump. Snx is utterly compromised since Kain let the DAO took over, even when he admitted the DAO idea was stupid and would lead to things like that. It's decentralization theater.

Snx baggies seem oblivious to the power play that's been going on here. They gleefully made a deal with jump without realizing they were there to vampirize them.

They also chose to marry optimism instead of arbitrum when everyone back then was telling them how stupid it was. They keep paying the long term price for their short term thinking.

Checked for a good post. DAOs continue to amaze me in how fucking retarded they are in practice.

It’s just Synthetix in name only at this point, so the idea of either side getting mad is just retarded. Get over it. It’s just business, nothing personnel kiddo. It’s fine for Pyth to engage in bullshit but Chainlink working with someone else is now crossing a line kek. I fucking hate 99% of people in this retarded industry.

From my understanding, they married Optimism because they will do nothing about MEV and if anything encourage it.

Market makers and arbitragers will still be able mug its users on the chain. It was being proposed that Arbitrum would use Chainlink oracles to further decentralize and use FSS to basically prevent MEV. This of course, never did happen and its unclear if it ever will now but the VCs and moneyed interests sided fully with Optimism as a result.

snx and link devs have had connections for a long time, a bunch of idiots pressured them to change to pyth for a while and now they have to live with that. Chainlink team didn't like that at all.
snx didn't invent shit, last time they were developing oracles they bricked their own platform.
