How don't worry, I already bought. But I only could buy so much, money isn't infinite. I just wanted the index to stay low for another year or so, so I could accumulate more each month.
I guess I COULD have borrowed/worked on leverage way more, and I did leverage a bit, but I kept things reasonable.
Since January, it has been climbing way too fast, it's frustrating.

If the options model is truly perfect then the market makers will always have the advantage in regards to probability/premium. Best you can do is run spreads on something highly liquid like SPY. There is a volatility smirk on major indexes that can hypothetically put you in favor with OTM puts. But you'll need a good rolling and management strategy. And don't over leverage if you have level 4 approval. Also keep an eye out for the large spreads being placed at different expiration dates, pic related.

Prob gonna start one of those Target Fund deals next year. Yeah I know performance wise they tend to lag an S&P fund but all out performance isn't the goal. Time/gap filling is. I retire at age 54. My 401k contributions stop at that point. The RMD isn't till I turn 75. So 21 year gap of no contributions into anything merely letting compounding doing the work (401k). That's 20+ years of gains that I could "juice" more if I tossed money into a target fund while I waited till 75 came calling. (I've got a pension, for life, that's my income stream after I retire to fund my Target fund and cover things). Why the target fund?. I'd rather do that than retire, then be one of those "whoops, I'm short the money I gotta go back to work" types.

Here's some advice from an anon who's smarter than you.

The stocks are going to fluctuate up and down forever as the US dollar continues to evaporate. When a ponzi scheme is understood as such it no longer becomes profitable. You're better off investing in real resources, or a US company that is producing real value (golden goose these days).

credit score is talmundic mysticism
if you use 10% or less of your revolving credit, your score will go up
average age of accounts, credit inquiries, and total tines of credit also affect your score short-term, so you probably got dinged for that
you'll probably be back around 800 in a few months

SONS.
I have made some crash charts for my own study, to develop something of an inner map for crash landscapes. What has occurred since Jan of 2022 is "unprecedented" in many ways, and scope. Nonetheless, here are some of the biggies, and some contextualizations. Perhaps someone else will find use/value in them.

My suspicion is that we're looking at this long, "feathered" fall since 01/2022, that will at some point be triggered into a final steep dive. There *might* be some more feathered fall to follow that, but there will be a lot of "support" being provided by attempted DIPPARINO buyers. I figure that as it falls, many, if not most of those attempts will get shaken out as the "investors" realize they were too early and are still getting heemed. In fact, this has been happening all along, to varying degrees, but the Oct to Apr bounce has built a lot of false confidence. One thing I will behave as if will not occur, is the notion that it will be like 2020, where the DIPPARINO is relatively very quickly not only recovered, from, but the pre-DIPPARINO high ground being risen above. It may, or may not, but you never count your money when you're sittin' at the table, there'll be time enough for countin' when the dealin's done.

The US effectively began it's downward spiral as a direct result of WW2. What's sad is the US probably won't even make it 300 years before it collapses. It's a failed experiment. Had we never unwillingly got dragged into WW2 by FDR, the US would be thriving

I disagree. The Nazis losing WW2 brought on the age of globohomo. The US was not an isolationist country, but was damn close before then. Had the US not got involved in WW2, germany would have likely lost anyway because Hitler was a fucking retard that decided to break the treaty with the USSR because "reasons". They could have taken over all of mainland Europe, left the UK alone, and would still to this day be in control of Europe. By the US getting involved we helped save the Jews and opened the door to the degeneracy we have today. Israel only exists because of the US, and that was our downfall.

The main impetus for the collapse of Rome was replacing the military with free germans and mercenaries. Big surprise, they had no loyalty and Rome's ability to control their territory evaporated.
It happened because someone had the bright idea to make all the mouthbreathers in the provinces Roman citizens so they could enjoy the privileges of being a citizen (pay a higher tax rate and serve in the army when traditionally you couldn't be more than an auxiliary as a non-citizen)
