The chinese economy and the real estate bubble are two very different things. China had strong growth and a rising middle class on the back of a real industrial demand. The problem is that they have easy debt and not many ways to invest. Real estate ist the only thing the growing middle class can use the cheap debt available to them. Real estate is simple overvalued thanks to debt that creates a loop should the valuation actually drop. The real question with china is of course if the CCP allows that, instead of letting shadow lending to take a hit and blaming bad banks while they rescue the middle class. China is not the US, so you have to take expectations of the culture and the goverment into account.
