There was a protocol that did this very thing almost 4 years ago. Its gonna drive me crazy I can't remember the name it. The logo was like an 8 bit black Octopus.

Needless to say they actually did have a bot and paid out ETH dividends by staking the token. It was MEV bot and claimed to be working on others. The token went almost 20x at one point and then dumped hard. I think it hit maybe 8-10 Million MCAP even. I think what happened was it was found out they were using ICO funds to pay the divs kek. I think they legit did have a bot running at one point but their competition ultimately changed strategies and they weren't able to adapt. Basically a legitimate Ponzi scheme.

FUCK wtf was the name of that protocol. Its a cool idea in theory. It was a little before flash loans and having a crowd funded pool of ETH to work with hypothetically allowed for bigger MEV plays.
