There was a hedge fund in the 1990s called Long Term Capital Management. They had a greatest returns consistently and they went to great lengths to conceal how they were structuring their trades because so many people were watching them.
Well, one day they placed a massive bet on Italian bonds to the tune of billions of dollars. They did this to themselves and luckily for us we caught the SEC and federal govenment acting as complicit parties in these crimes.
