Not an exaggeration or a /pol/cel style conspiracy cope, we’ve genuinely had ~50% inflation in the US since 2018. A lot of people don’t realize the frothiness really started heavy back in 2019 and inflation signals were picking up big time in 2019, well before COVID.

Im going back through my budgeting from back then and the same lifestyle from 2018 is roughly 50% more expensive in 2023. So 100k in 2023 is the new 65k more or less.

They have literally changed the way we calculated inflation, it's all horseshit, everyone with a braincell knows, however I personally think we have like 15-17% inflation.

i only got bitcoin gold and silver. and 99pct bitcoin of course. so i really don't care. i wage and put in bitcoin and have been doing so since 2017. I gained wealth. not lost.

Also you are right about the fact that everything was going to shit even before covid.

It’s even worse than that because that’s factoring in shit most of us don’t care about like new cars and new clothes. Energy prices, food prices, and housing costs have each increased like 200% since then

It's really wild going through my order history and seeing how much more expensive stuff I bought on Amazon 5-10 years ago is today.

looks like I spent $85K in 2019, and $100K in the trailing 1-year period since april 2022. honestly doesn't seem too bad considering since 2019 I got another car, a baby, a house, and another degree. why are zoomers so bad with money?

all you have to do is look at housing for the last 20 years
