Securing yourself in a location if you know you will be there long term.

Then as brought a house, you rent out the spare bedrooms to friends or well vetted tenants.

Buying a one bedroom apartment is a shit purchase if a single guy

>Well too fucking bad, because your shitty landlord says pets are a no no and wants the walls of the house to be absolutely impolute when you go, despite the fact they haven't been reformed in decades.
True freedom when it comes to a house is being able to decide what gets done/placed in it without the need to consult it with a boomer living off your pennies, or worse a real state agent acting as an intermediary between both of you.If you don't have to move a lot renting a house is cucking yourself

>this whole jewish shit about renting bedrooms for le passive income is why real estate is so shitty now.
I can't argue with that but it confuses me that you end up saying this after stating that owning a house is more cucked than renting.

There is. If you owned a home you'd know about the homestead exemption. If you buy a home as investment instead of as a place to live, taxes are higher.
Stop speculating on how housing should be different and worry about rent. It's due in 21 days rentoid.

>> No.54523759

Anyone that pays for a house, whether to rent out or live in, instead of buying bitcoin is a confirmed sucker. Use your logical mind and look at the chessboard. The government decides what you can charge for rent. The law favors the tenant. The government can legally confiscate your house at any time, or demand that you pay them any amount of tax they demand. You can't use the house how you want or alter it in any way without their permission. The current market price is sustained by government subsidies. Any potential buyer has to factor in all the aformentioned issues. Compare that to bitcoin. If you want a house to live in, you can easily buy one twice as big as whatever you're looking at today, just by waiting a year and saving instead of FOMOing in to the same "investment" all the other sheep are clamoring for.

The only reason not to buy bitcoin, at this price, a year away from the halving, before an ETF is approved in the US, is because the government sold you a meme that only fiat is "real money." Even though your desire to own a house instead of fiat is implicitly admitting that fiat doesn't work. How is your dollar any different from Japanese invasion money? Those occupied groups had no alternative. They had an excuse. You have no excuse. You are trusting the government over your own capacity for reason.

>> No.54525172

>>54524346
I respect your desire to hedge, but keep in mind that if your house costs 30 BTC today, and it costs 20 BTC two years from now, then it decreased by 10 BTC. The house would have increased 30% in fiat terms, while Bitcoin would still not have surpassed the previous ATH and would still be worth less than silver.

That's a 100% gain, but a more bullish target like gold, which is still not widely accepted as a currency, would be a 2,000% gain. Some allocation to real estate doesn't hurt. But monetization events on a planetary scale are extremely rare. Be wary of diversifying just for diversification's sake.

Maybe you don't need to own your residence. But you need to have your own residence, so that when you knock up your GF, you have a place to put her and the brat, since they're your responsibility.
