The government demolished the dating market in 2008. The first young generation to face unprecedented unemployment while also owing student debt. The adults knew we had no dating prospects facing that degree of poverty and women were finding that most men were underemployed aka losers. The only sympathy boomers really offered was to not kick their now adult children out on the street. We were sacrificed as a concession to appease boomers (the largest voting pool) who now have zero grandchildren and will have to leave retirement to keep their empty overprived dilapidated homes. Nobody will ever buy these homes. Full stop. They can lose them to bank foreclosure, though. Boomers don't realize they groomed an entire generation of men to be on the neet spectrum. Young women are asking where all the good men are and it's a result of what I've just described. The women are losing it because milestones are delayed or never happen. They had to become more masculine and compete with men for the scraps available to our generation. That left them distracted from their fertility as they pursued independence, which was simultaneously cheered by the media and government. This is the lost generation. We didn't stumble or get lost on our own. It was inflicted upon us.
