I don't think zoomers will have a bright future in the workplace, especially tech. We had one join a couple months ago, and it took some effort getting him to understand entry-level stuff. I thought things would improve, but when I had him walk me through some stuff so I could see where he was at, I noticed he had installed the Brave browser. I had to tell him to uninstall it and that we use Firefox only for security reasons, but then he started ranting at me about how Brave is the future, how crypto will disrupt the financial sector, how I didn't understand anything (I don't ever discuss my personal crypto stuff, so he thought he was ranting at some dumb 30-year old boomer with no experience with crypto). I tried to explain that we don't use Chromium based browsers for a reason, and he retorted that Brave isn't Chrome. I had to escalate to HR and recommended that he be let go. We just finalized his termination. Why are zoomers like this?

Ironically though, this is how it was for millennials starting out, as we were the first generation to grow up with computers and the internet.

difference is they grew up with mainly user friendly UI apps - the kind with no rough edges and super smooth user experience, idiot proof. this ended up making them boomer tier at technological problem solving.
