Is this a good book for self-teaching Econ? Got it at goodwill for like $5 so I think it's a decent investment regardless.

What is your goal in self-study of Economics? Economics falls off and becomes worthless REALLY quickly unless you're trying to become a bullshit artist and if you really want to complete the illusion, you'd probably need a formal degree. Let me emphasize that 90% of what you would learn in attaining that formal degree is worthless except for bullshitting people. The 10% is definitely valuable for business, day to day living, etc. but you don't need a text book or a formal degree to get that 10%. In my opinion it's some of the easiest aspects of Economics. So go watch some YouTube videos and run through some Investopedia articles. You'll save yourself time and be a lot more efficient in the long run. Spend the extra time you save by foregoing the undertaking of a full Economics education and go learn Excel thoroughly or something along those lines.
