many tutorials on the subject, basic principle is, you have to search for a decent light-dark gradient being reflected in the coin, if all is bright or dark the coin if flat, if there is too much stuff it will look bad.

if what is reflected looks somewhat like pic related the coin should look nice.

That's because the crisis keeps on being kicked down the road. They are extremely good at doing this, however the whole thing falls apart when the majority of the global economy leaves the western banking system. That flood of US Dollars coming home will crash its purchasing power, so it's this moment we're all waiting for, which won't happen until BRICS is up and running.

Sister just randomly messages me with a pic of some jewellery she forgot she had in back of jewellery box asking me if it’s any good as she knew I liked coins etc.

It’s a 1887 shield back queen Victoria half sovereign mounted in a 18k decorative harness on a chain. She doesn’t even remember where she got it from. 16grams including the chain. I cant tell if the chain is 18k, but the mounting is defo marked C75 (18k) and the coin looks real. Do you you have any of your relatives randomly ask things like this? The "fun" thing is:
Those wobbles that might break it all are just some tiny drops in values. We're not even back to pre-pandemic yet! Don't know much about commercial real estate, but looking at German residential properties, we're still way, way above realistic prices. Like, double to triple to price above.
I kinda hope that happens, because I want to buy a good house at a realistic price, but to get there, there probably won't be much of a functioning Germany be left where I can have a job to pay the bills.
Guess I'll become a full-on shizo and just stack and wait for the Mad Max future. At least then in my headcanon I'll be a king, roaming the lands, buying houses with a few Oz of Silver here and there and getting blowjobs in between. Just two more weeks!

One was a vintage Longines 10k Gold Watch and another had a sterling silver watchband with some pearl and turquoise stone in-lays from an old popular Native American jewelry designer. I told him anout them and he said he just wants me to keep them instead of selling unless I need it. I wear both out regularly and get alot of compliments on both.

Of course, you can buy thousands of really nice replicas on Aliexpress. Shipping takes like a month though.

Some are replicas of historic coins.

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805159673809.html

Others are non-magnetic replicas of modern gold and silver coins and bars that counterfeiters like to scam people with (which is why you don't buy from ebay).

Was the Gilded Megumins something like twice the price of the regular Megumins, sort of like what he did with the pricing of the Gilded Yotsubas? Pretty big fail with the box if so. Somebody was whining about MintAnon's gilded last thread, but can't really complain when the difference between gilded and regular for him is $15. But of course they're both doing two different business models for their gilded, the gilded Megumins supposedly being the premium item. Which makes the box mistake even more glaring if went for a premium price.

It is important to distinguish between fake numismatics and fake bullion. Numismatics are relatively easy to fake because their value is in what is stamped into the surface of the coin. Bullion is much harder to fake because its value is in its atomic structure. I have yet to see a passable gold round or coin. VERY difficult to do.

Also, much easier to detect fake bullion than fake numismatics. Simple, inexpensive machines can detect fake bullion but not so for numismatics.

As much as I do not care for rapemex's premiums I can not complain about the fact that after I place my order with them my package is at my door 5 business days later meanwhile my most recent purchase was with bullion exchanges and it just shipped today and I placed my order 9 days ago.. In these clown world times I am truly concerned about waiting for the "processing" and receive an email saying "sorry goy but due to market volatility we must refund you fiat and decline your order" Am I just that much of a skitzo that I'd rather pay a couple bucks extra to get it too my door twice as quick? Would you pay a bit more to get it in hand faster?

Oh, BTW, the wiener feels a bit thin due to the design and the material being stretched out, and the edge is rather sharp, it's not a coin you're comfortable playing with, the Kronen feels nice in the hand, it's something you could imagine using as money, the Centenario feels substantial.
Both Kronen and Cent. aren't pure gold and sound rather nice unlike the pure wiener.

Just love seeing the instruments, architecture and the old feeling text in gold. The breaks in the reeding have a charm to me as well.

The 100Kronen is the cheapest coin you can get in some parts of Europe, same mint as the wiener, while it has 1915 on it it's usually a restrike. So the relatively low price is no coincidence. It's basically a cheap bullion coin for those preferring a more classical design.

The Cent. are common in the Americas,
the smaller half-ounce 20 pesos is also fun, due to the Aztec motive, but unfortunately too small to appreciate the design fully holding it in the hand.

>The Austria 100 Corona was among the earliest coins sold to individual gold bullion collectors, driven by an increased interest in owning gold as a solid investment. However, during this time period, the U.S. Government made it illegal for Americans to own gold bouillon, unless it had collectors value and was dated prior to 1933. The Austrian Mint was able to take advantage of this loophole by restriking the coin and dating it 1915.

Fuckin same man ,my dad has alot of money but won't buy even 1 oz gold or silver, even though he agrees with me on the dollar losing value and becoming another peice of paper and the banks failing, he just doesn't believe he should spend it on metals or even long shelf life food, even though he supports my silver and gold buying ,he just has to see how bad things go now.I can't convince him otherwise now.

They can see what's obviously happening but since everything was handed to them on a silver platter acting upon it is too far out of their comfort zone. It's easy to say "yeah things will probably be bad" but actually taking action is a completely different level of awareness. You're acknowledging for sure you think your comfort won't want to end, and the cognitive dissonance is easier to handle than the idea of suffering.

Because he was talking specifically about the domestic Kenyan oil market. De-dollarization is going to be a gradual process followed by an 'all of a sudden'. The gradual part could take 3 months to 3 years depending on how quickly USTs sell off and dollars repatriate to the US (causing double-digit inflation).

This is probably why immigration is such a big debate. Because other countries holding US debt have been saying "let some of our people live there and we won't claim this debt".

It started off as 1 or 2 but then it started to create a delay in the immigration system and people were happy to get handed wads of cash to "keep society running".

well for starters, I'm noing to wax lyric and proclaim is as the best thing ever since the next one could be even more impressive; always room for improvrment. Secondly, I know its good, YOU know its good and theres no real reason to believe otherwise. Thirdly, "getting" is more a subjective term in that the first few pics are like "oh thats nice, its clean" but more pics and the viewer slowly sees more and can appreciate more in the images. Eventually you get to the point where you look at the photoanonwiththenicetableblackbackground and think "hmm, these pics are getting real good".

It's good to have a spreadsheet. You're already way better than most.
I went full autistic on mine. The one thing I wish I had kept better track of was spot price at time of purchase for each line item.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11oZ4X8Gkgv3oGd_BunwFAHRhS92cfocIcmHzVK1D5s4
I would recommend learning to use vlookup and pivot tables. It takes the use of spreadsheets to the next level, and dictates some design constraints. I'll blather a LOT about it if you really want.
