Would you leave your country for the same reasons?
Say you have enough money to live comfortably in a different, cheaper, overall better country while yours is overpriced af, and your gf is a consoomerist that drags you down instead of helping you. Would you leave your current life to start a new one for economic reasons?

probably not as I would only move to a country I have some attachment to, I wouldn't live somewhere just for the ability to live comfortably.

Assume you do. I know the other country so I would.

It depends on different things, but to me the likelihood of settling in another country is not very attractive. There would have to be some very persuasive benefits that isn't just about superficial things like weather or something. I'd have to be able to form a social network in the country, and for that I would prefer certain countries over others. How well do you know this country? Have you just visited shortly or did you spend a long time there?

Spent a few years in uni there. Didn't buy a solid social network with locals, though. They were nice roommates and students, and some people I met in chatrooms and professional conferences, nothing else.

Some people are better at living in different places than others, I don't know you personally so I can't really tell, but I think that to me one of the main things about living in a different country would be something like feeling like you belong there. That to me is important, maybe you don't care too much about that, I don't know. Living somewhere else just for the reason of being able to live better to me seems a bit like a short-term benefit, I personally wouldn't do it, there's many different countries that allow for this which I wouldn't move to even with that.
