The opposite. Eth is a gas token. If you want to use eth as a CURRENCY, then you should use a payment system like raiden. You get instant, low fee, infinite throughput payments and benefit from the eth base layer deflation on top of that.

It has more security without having to mine. The only advantages of PoW is that its easy to prove its secure and its run bitcoin with no problems for 10+ years and PoS is newer so there is the chance that there is an issue with PoS we don't know about.

>> No.54434345

>It has more security
ETH schizos genuinely believe this. What other financial advice have you taken on this board? Asking for a hedge fund

>> No.54434452

>>54434345
It is. PoW is vulnerable to 51% attacks or other reordering and forking, PoS is not because validators can't fork they are just penalized. PoW only really has 1 theoretical advantage in that you can determine what is the genesis block based on the longest hash. But this really only applies to bitcoin since it was the first crypto. All other cryptos you pretty much have to just define the genesis block. Can you name a single advantage of PoW?

Just not gonna mention that those who have the most ETH have most power and it is probably some of the banks BTC and crypto was actally made for to make obsolete lol
It would be way easier for a entity to buy 51% of eth than to gather 51% of mining power nigger
Not to mention vitalik can just change supply and issuance at any time if he wants to

LOL, can you believe these noobs trying to FUD this rock-solid blockchain? It's been through the wringer and those so-called "killers" couldn't even come close to taking it down. I'm all about staking on the best DEX protocols out there, like Uniswap for the Sylo LM pool, Aave, and Curve Finance. So much more potential, bruh!

>> No.54434592

>>54434537
Except 51% is not as bad in eth. You can't fork and double spend in eth with 51% like you can in PoW. But high hash power also means the ability to control what transactions are included in blocks. Now eth does have that same problem, but currently its no worse than bitcoin (and eth will solve it in the future with proposer/builder separation). Plus you can buy the most eth or can buy the most bitcoin miners, its the same problem. Its much harder to buy a lot eth without skyrocketing the price than it would be to buy miners to censor bitcoin transactions.

I never understood why bitcoin maxipads think there is something specific about ethereum that makes it vulnerable to ofac compliance. it's even funnier when they say that ofac compliant blocks are due to proof of stake. they're actually due to having a transparent ledger where miners or validators can choose which transactions to include. you can't prevent ofac compliance on bitcoin or ethereum without hard forking to make them more like monero. it's like the maxipads are just retarded and don't even know how any blockchain works.
