I pulled up his linkedin and the guy looks legit, worked at ConsenSys ($7B blockchain company) and co-authored a book on Ethereum smart contract development. It looks like his firm is applying to work on Sparks.

When I searched "human colossus" the results are not as clear, THC appears to be a Swiss non-profit that is working on infrastructure for the "Dynamic Data Economy". It looks like Sparks intends to integrate with them in some way.
