BTC doesn't pump as much as alts, but at least you get to keep the gains. BTC maxis leave /biz/ after one or two market cycles, shitcoin maxis are here forever perpetually making it then losing everything in some sort of Lovecraftian version of purgatory/hell.

>> No.54420509

No if the money you're investing is a high amount, f.e. something in the 6 figures range. BTC doesn't make any sense for people with less money imo, it's not going to go up much more from here.

I don't see any reason to invest in anything other than ETH, including BTC. ETH can do anything BTC can, but also much, much more, and more efficiently. Investing in BTC is like investing in MP3 players during the rise of smartphones. I don't get it.
I believe the only reason BTC is still relevant is that clueless media always use the word bitcoin in article titles when they really mean crypto in general, thus searing the brand recognition into the public. But that won't last forever.

Your image is merely demonstrating how immensely popular Ethereum is in terms of real usage. High demand = high competition for block space = high fees.
And keep in mind those metrics exist despite the fact that ETH has a *more* bandwidth than BTC. Do you know how enormous BTC's fees would be if it had the same demand as ETH? Luckily for you it doesn't, no one actually uses BTC, they just hoard it in wait of a greater fool.

Demonstrably false, look at how much gas some smart contracts on Ethereum uses, contracts with a wide variety of purposes. Fees that high are spent for a reason, if it was all about merely about "trading back and forth" then no one would use a chain that expensive when any other chain would do the trick. What did you pay for a case of blazer? I've been looking on ammo seek and all of the really cheap sites either look sketchy or are selling literally who mystery meat reloads, or both. Then when you find a decent PPR on a brand of ammunition you recognize they want a $40 shipping fee or something stupid like that. Yeah on the surface they're selling you 9mm from a trusted brand at .25 cents a round, but once you factor in the shipping cost suddenly it's .31 cents per round. Academy has had Blazer 115 grain on sale all month for 14.99 a box. 4 years ago I'd have scoffed at such a price, but these days it's really not bad. That's .28 cents per round. Technically cheaper than what I can get online once you factor in the jewish shipping costs so I've just been buying from them in person recently.

Also keep it on topic, it depends on the alt, but mostly likely yes dumping them for BTC is the safer play. Just don't be pissed off when your chosen alt does a 15x while bitcoin only does 2x. Yeah you could have made more money if you stayed in the alt, but the alt just as easily could have flatlined and died. Higher risk, higher reward.

Nah bro. Buy btc AND alts. Alts you believe in. But btc will eventually be accepted by more governments around the world and alts will follow btc. Btc’s user case is the most important in all of crypto. If any crypto is going to be adopted by huge chunks of the population and companies, it’s going to be btc. Btcs gains will not be as amazing as alts, but btc will always be the safest bet in crypto, as in its least likely to go to zero. After every bull run, and your alts hit amazing strides, put a decent chunk of those profits into btc.
