You do not have to be all in any side of this. If you truly had half a million dollars, you could have positions on both sides of the issue and still be making money.

I started with five figures in 2019. I don't want or need your retarded advice.
I made my money by going against popular NARRATIVES which didn't conform to reality. I take money from those who buy STORIES rather than apply mathematics and economics.

Wrong again, retard.
I made most of my gains by shorting bull markets and bubbles.
I welcome more female brains to the marketplace as they are the ones moved by stories and narratives rather than by logic, mathematics and economics.
These boards are useful in that they reflect the degree of emotional involvement of the participants. You become my marks.

After about seven seconds of looking into it I am prepared to give you a thorough, concise assessment; and while being a somewhat abbreviated synopsis, you should consider it's weight heavy and it's consequences dire.
If you do not hold it, you do not own it.
Holding precious metals in your hand is an unparalleled experience. Divorced, inconceivable, and unfathomable to modernity and it's shapeless progeny of programmable consumers, boomer rocks are simultaneously completely devoid of value beyond the walls of nursing homes and farmers markets despite the value derived from executive orders outlawing it's ownership and marauding gangs that would happily rob or even murder suspected owners of such worthless items. PMs are so worthless that governments and criminals would seek to take them from you by force.
If you have crypto they can't take it from you. I could just die with the code in my head and they'll still be poor

https://schiffgold.com/key-gold-news/tennessee-governor-signs-bill-authorizing-state-gold-and-silver-reserves/The passage of HB1479 sets a foundation for sound money in Tennessee.
From the article
>It also takes another step in the process of abolishing the Federal Reserve system by attacking it from the bottom up – pulling the rug out from under it by working to make its functions irrelevant at the state and local levels, and setting the stage to undermine the Federal Reserve monopoly by introducing competition into the monetary system.

In a paper presented at the Mises Institute, Constitutional tender expert Professor William Greene said when people in multiple states actually start using gold and silver instead of Federal Reserve Notes, it would effectively nullify the Federal Reserve and end the federal government’s monopoly on money.

Coal's been climbing over the last few years due to energy demand but i have no idea how long that will last. Coal plants across north america are coming up to their due by date, and its not really known how many will be worth putting the money into continuing to operate them. Asia is different, their still building new coal fired plants, as well as other power sources. Coal isnt going anywhere but its not going to be as lucrative down the road.

If you divide the price of Gold by the M2 monetary supply, you might notice a couple things.
One is that the spot price has been trading sideways for eight years in real terms. Another is that for the first time in a couple years we have a monthly close above the 200 wma, assuming the bottom doesn't drop out tomorrow.
Idk, just kind of interesting.

$400 for a Remington 700, Ruger m77, or Browning x bolt. PanMan swears by the savage axis which has a similar Mauser style action as literally all the other flagship models I mentioned just now, so I'm certain that rifle is as reliable as the units I listed.

My understanding
>It's not fair for USD to be the sole international currency, due to centralization or other risks inherent
>SDR is a basket of intl currencies
>Cannot be used by private entities, each country receives an amount by IMF, basically tickets to help out of tricky spots, with big countries having little use (can't trade them) and small countries getting the most help
>Instead of using USD to settle intl trades, it is suggested to use SDR units
-
>Most central banks have gold backed assets, which ripples through the country's banking system via fractional reserve banking
>With SDRs backing a digital currency, the implication is that money is entirely electronic and tracked, with no pesky things like people hoarding gold

>Basel iii no longer considers paper silver or gold as the same tier of asset as actually gold or silver
>SDRs are a way to act as a ballast, as you mentioned, but forward looking (which you implied but didn't specifically state)
>SDRs become a manner to suppress inflationary boil overs at a national level minimalizing the risk of subverting trade agreements and capital flight measures

"Yes"
I told her to ask a manager to verify. The manager was standing beside her and confirmed it. I went to the sock display and got every pair that was my size and the same color, even sent one of them back to check I had bought every last one in the store while I coaxed the manager into checking inventory at other locations.
Now I only wear smartwool brand socks and they all wear at the same rate and they can't get mismatched in the wash. Sounds dumb but I haven't thought about socks for seven years and counting and none of my socks are wearing thing.

deep sea mining is still probably a meme right now, the tech isnt quite ready yet to work, but that doesnt stop developments. It may become viable in shallower environments, like off the coast of africa with placer tin, gold and diamonds. Also yes, most of these deep sea miners are looking for nodules, mostly manganese cobalt but also ones rich in copper nickel. Some are looking for VMS halos around deep sea vents, but thats yet to be figured out if its viable.

As for Sask and the native issue, its not likely to actually hold any water in legal senses. Natives are just being petulant as usual. Saskatchewan isnt going to hand over total control of its natural resources because some band management group is whining.

I think US and Canada both dealt with this over a century ago when we ruled that minerals don't necessarily belong to the land owner, they belong to whoever will harvest and sell them.

>> No.54424870

basically the natives are claiming that the old treaties they signed have a clause called below plow level (i am simplifying this its so much more convoluted). The idea is that anything below the plow level was "shared" resource between the government and the natives, but no one ever actually solidly clarified this, later treaties had a more solid base splitting the surface and land rights but the original treaties still have some power so its a headache.

>> No.54425389

>>54424870
Interesting
I think in the US the government acts as a clearinghouse for mineral claims, but doesn't technically own any minerals and can't legally engage in mining or exploration.

meaning they can't jointly share a resource they don't technically own. But that creates the same problem Canada has- since we don't really own our own minerals, pretty much any foreign country or company can come over here and mine them.

>> No.54426349

yes, if the property ownership exists because of mineral rights ownership.

this is how my main house is. The land I live on was originally a mining claim, so when I bought the land I got the mineral rights as well.

but if I want I can sell the mineral rights and keep the land. I'm not going to do that because then whoever owns the mineral rights can knock my house down to mine under it, but if I wanted to I could do that.

In a lot of places that's not true, and we have cases in Colorado of oil wells and even mines going in people's back yards because they don't own the mineral rights.

either way, the natives didn't necessarily get mineral rights under US law when they got land allotments. This has caused problems in the past, e.g. the Homestake gold mine in the black hills is staked on Sioux land and that caused some wars.

This I think is the main reason why the surface and mineral rights often don't belong to the same owner. Properties have changed hands and over time some owner has decided to sell only one or the other. Surface right owners get the short end of the stick when it comes to extraction so definitely a smart idea to hold onto those mineral rights

In 5 years i think it's prob looking the best for a long. Wouldn't trade it at the mo, if society collapses then might as well start stripping everything you can and hoard it. Chip abit in here and there but at the mo it shouldn't be your mains. Nothing should be. All these retards on the gold and silver... try to be realistic. Are all these countries that are fucked like Argentina and Turkey buying shit with pmz. Not really, $ is still king. Gunz and ammo is much better if this situation arises. Steal peoples beans and gold. Until then try to buy stuff that has use

It's near daily written (occasional video) updates on charts the overall market that you can comment on and discuss with other subs/Gary, and a weekend video report. Basically his free stuff in more detail and more regular. He only trades ETFs and occasionally options so don't expect any info or advice about individual stocks, just big picture stuff.
It's not a lot of handholding, and there's a lot of chart shit to read if you want to actually understand what the fuck he's on about when he talks about daily and intermediate cycles etc.

Right now he's mostly just beating everyone over the head saying don't fucking sell your metals on volatility or resistance like a dumb retard (paraphrased)

It is possible. Firstly, the brokerage may engage in fraud and then goes bust. Obviously, in such a scenario, the customers of the brokerage are in trouble.

However, another way a customer can lose his equities (I am less certain about bonds) in a brokerage is if he has a *margin* account. With a margin account, the brokerage can lend out equities that a customer owns for the purposes of allowing others to short-sell the stock. If the brokerage somehow gets into trouble somewhere down the line, the equities that were lent out might not be replaced.

About the surest, sane* way to protect yourself is to have the equities in a cash account where the equities are registered in your name, not the brokerage's name. There might be an extra fee for this. For some companies' equities, you can go through ComputerShare and I believe that is free.

* The somewhat insane way is to buy equities and demand delivery of the certificates. That practically eliminates counterparty risk but it incurs extra cost and it's a real pain in the butt when you want to sell the stock. I think even if you lose the certificates, you're still safe although you'll have to go through the trouble of proving your identity to get replacement certificates.

Try things out, seek new experiences, prob will work out better than going to see a tranny prozzie and getting bummed like a few stories ive seen on chan over the years

Good to see another Thungela poster here. I agree the valuation is very low. I personally think coal prices will be higher for longer as mines in western countries shut down from environmental pressure.

Be very careful when investing in coal mining companies. It operates in a politically charged sector and the government could do things to bankrupt the coal companies. [Natural gas, so-called "green" energies, and even nuclear power will be given preference over coal.] Peabody Energy shareholder got wiped out during Obama's presidency. History has shown that there is nothing particularly wrong with Peabody Energy and that there is still a need for coal. However, shareholders were still zeroed out.

Interestingly, if you've ever read The Millionaire Next Door, one of the professions mentioned in that book is owner/operator of a coal mine. It's something that a good owner/operator can become wealthy doing but it has busts that are absolutely gut-wrenching. I would imagine the gut-wrenching times are even worse for investors who don't have a way to influence the operations of the company.

with these OPEC cuts it would be prudent to keep in mind that they have been unable to meet their previous production targets, so the real impact to supply is likely not as high as it may seem.

Copper will likely make sustained highs in the next 5-15 years, though the supply shortfall may be alleviated by a global recession or depression. Still, at these prices copper companies are raking in nice margins. Do note though that some of them have lots of capital expenditures to make in that same timeframe. Rio Tinto looks very good for now but their reserves will need refilling within a decade or so.

same anon here, ID changes every now and then. Thungela seems cheap yes but I'm cautious about the price of coal. It seems to have found some support in the current range but if it goes back to low levels, Thungela will not be a great place to be. Their cost is about $80/t. At current prices the margins are still great but nowhere near what they were last year. It follows that the dividend they now pay is not going to be recurring, I also did the math on that to make sure. They are paying a large part of their earnings back to the shareholders which is nice though. Transportation remains a problem with regards to the railway chaos over there so there is also that risk. For now I'm long, if only for the dividend. But I'm keeping my eye on it, frankly not enthused about holding it that much. I may be more inclined to invest in one of the Aussie coal miners but first I need to research those companies.

i noticed tin isnt expected to blow up like it was before, due to demand from the tech sector caving in. Tin will have its day in the sun soon, but it needs tech to support it.
