It depends, because everything I've read about valuation relies on 3 methods. 1. gold price. 2. Basket of commodities 3. Basket of currencies. 3 is probably out, but 1 and 2 seem likely.
1. Gold is the traditional, straightforward choice. Current Oz is 2k-ish? That will increase over the next few years.
2. Basket of commodities. This one is more complex, but provides more technocratic options if there's a problem. It would allow Gold lacking economies to participate with what they do have. Additionally, any resulting supply shock from say, Oil, would partially inflate the currency to cover it, but without ever ending up in a primary commodity/currency inflation loop. The strengths of the other commodities would keep the currency resilient. That basket would price XRP as constantly floating above the market. The number would be irrelevant at that point.
