Forcing people to pay 100k or else their project will get shut down is not a good look for chainlink as a whole. Imagine going about your day and out comes sergey who points a gun to your head and says give me 100k or ill pull the trigger it.
This will obviously make potential future customers, and even present customers, rethink their choice of which oracle provider to choose. Who knows today might be 100k and a year later it might be 1 million at that point your project is probably going to be fucking dead due to having to cough up 1 mil yet I see so many retards here celebrate the fact that sergey is going to finally stop subsidizing oracle consumers. Yes I think it is a good idea what sergey wants to do but not how he is going about it and this makes me a little bearish for the future.

Would you rather have 100 clients paying 10$ or 10 clients paying $100?

This is the trade off when you have too many customers, you up your prices to weed out cheapskates and people who arent worth your time and effort.

I don't get it, why don't projects just use one of the many Chainlink competitors such as API3, BAND, PYTH, or K3NSH1?

What a retarded way to implement Chainlink if this is true

The price of the oracles should be built into the project

Paying some company for a crypto service completely defeats the purpose of crypto and Chainlink especially

It's funny because they just expect someone to maintain something on-chain for them, paying for gas and everything, just completely free.

Time and execution on these computing environments were all sharing isnt free

>this is a cult

The usual discord nufudders are actually a lower form of life than unpaid internet janitors:
>constantly making 50+ pbtid fudding in discussion threads over 10+ hours whenever they're up
>the rest of the time they seem to be seething, samefagging, and monitoring in up to 6 fud threads at any one time during their "rush hour"
>sometimes when they're really upset because no one takes them seriously, they'll spam the board with nikado avacado's asshole threads
>they have been doing this possibly since 2021, when a lot of them bought the top and never recovered
>others lost their stacks on bancor and celsius
>some even think that they're "fighting the wef" by posting on here - yes they're that retarded
>lets be generous with the math and say that they've only done this for five days a week (including holidays) for one year (50x52=2600 hours spent doing this maybe, not including the time they've spent making low quality memes and looking at pictures of the best cock cages to use)
>all over an apparently shitty and unimportant crypto
>on a board that doesn't even affect the prices
>all for FREE

Anon I work for a large financial enterprise let me shine some light on this situation.

1. The 100k is probably based on the value the protocol captures or the profit it makes.
2. They give you an option how to lower this amount (read shill other L2)
3. They will still sell chain link tokens since it's literally free money made out of thin air.
4. They will make sure the amount being payed is not to much to open the possibility of a competitor to offer a similar service.

It's normal to give something for free and when people see the value to capitalise on it. Look at ChatGPT.

That’s not what s happening at all. Those projects are free to use any oracle service they want, not just chainlink. Im sure there are some cheaper options out there. Sergey isn’t forcing them to do anything lol. If they want to use some shitty oracle service and lose all their customer deposits that’s totally up to them

If they want to use a high quality, industry standard product like chainlink then yes, they will need to pay more for it

>> No.54401508

>>54399673
I'm sure that they can refuse to pay and go use some competitors like BAND protocol or API3 right anon? What do you think of that?

THEY
WILL
ALL
PAY
