Why do folks here have no real understanding risk assessment? I sold at $0.89, and guess what? It was the right thing to do. Why risk all of my money going to zero when I could cut my losses? I'm pretty sure UST holders would've killed to sell at $0.89. I'm happy with my trade even when USDC went back to $1.

I bought thousands of dollars for 90 cents, too. Personally, I am looking forward to the next sub-$1 dollar buying event, they are my favourite.

literally a nothing burger, only 8% of the reserves were at risk and they said they would cover it even if all other reserves ran out, plus if you waited a bit longer you'd know depositors were going to get restitution regardless

No you guys are completely retarded and have absolutely no idea how any of this works. Terra had zero backing at all and it was just supposed to be literal magic internet money. Obviously it crashed just like all other algorithmic stable coins will if given the chance. USDC is a fully backed stable coin. If they completely lose a few percent of the backing funds, then the absolute worst case scenario would be USDC worth 97 cents.

Why the fuck did you put so much money into USDC in the first place? Did you really think you were going to get rich off of it? I bet if it shot up, you’d be singing a different tune but still too retarded to sell

What idiot sells his stable corn for a loss? That’s something you set and forget, not risk your life savings on. Why else would he do it?
