The Federal reserve is keeping it liquid and making special rules up on the spot to keep it from going under. The depositors have a good opinion of first republic and the government is promising to cover deposits (though they need to re-clarify it for everyone because Yellen is a goof) and the largest 11 banks out there offered to convert a 30 billion dollar deposit to capital if they fail.

Whilst under normal circumstances FRC would be liable to die, everyone is treating FRC as the newsworthy flagship of the banking industry. It's the coalmine canary the news is selling people on the safety of the american banking system. The government and all the top banks know that if FRC wins everyone calms the fuck down. The government and their competitors are all changing the rules on the spot just to make sure FRC wins. I would not call FRC a lock. But i would say that with all the absurd cheating going on to prop FRC up, it has an actual chance. Not based on the fundamentals, but because the rules of the game are being changed to keep it in business and people like the company.

FRC is a good buy if you are truly cynical of the way bankers cheat and get an easy pass all the time.

You may profit off some momentary pump before it resumes the slide to zero, particularly if the whole market pumps then WISH will likely get a sympathy pump due to high beta and general profitless tech correlations. Over a longer timeframe the downtrend will resume and outweigh any temporary gains.
Even if you wanted to play those factors, there are much better, less scammy names.
