Currently work at a local council doing construction and it really depends on what your co workers are like. The crew i started off on was just miserable, every old cunt just complaining all day about anything and laughing at the new guys because they didn't know what to do. Didn't help them either. I joined a different crew with younger people and its night and day.

Here's a tip: work somewhere with young people, the old boomers dont want to help you they just want to sit around all day, complain and wait for retirement. Don't get involved in their petty shit or it will start to rub off on you and you will become miserable.

obviously I don't know the details of your work but I got into an accident a couple of years ago and had to get my back fixed, went to physical therapy afterwards, and guess what the number 1 occupation was in that lobby
the only difference was I got 3 months of PTO while they got 3 months out of commission and jobs that insist they were being negligent and that these weren't job related injuries (and good luck trying to find a good lawyer for workers comp)

I went to school for x-ray tech because I didn't want student loan debt. I never planned to work the field for a long time. I ended up quitting and starting working for myself in less than two years. No self respecting man should work in health care.

I may sound like I am talking shit to tradies, but in many ways I feel cut from the same cloth. I just honestly, sometimes feel like a schmuck when I see faggots working the system; making easy money, win or loose.

my company does industrial activity with bagging and material handling. Sometimes I expose myself to danger. I sometimes feel like a dipshit. I don't do a lot of actual hand on work. less then 8 hours a week at the moment.

I do like actually working and doing something. Trying to run a company that just bought alibaba private label shit would make me feel like a faggot.

Dunno what it’s like in Australia, but I’m a teacher in the UK and compared to previous corporate jobs I’ve had it is fucking horrible. Lessons take far too much energy because of constant behaviour management on top of teaching, then you go home and do another 2/4 hours work and have extra bullshit outside of work hours (meetings, trips etc). Not worth at all unless you genuinely want to teach.
