Bitcoin is divisible up to a sat, or satoshi, which is 1/100,000,000 BTC. That means currently a sat is about $0.00005. Gold has the opposite problem. It's almost too expensive to use it. Well, you can't just divide it further. A sat is the lowest amount that can be represented in the protocol. I guess technically a BTC isn't divisible into sats, but 100,000,000 sats make up a whole BTC. There is no way to express further subdivisions because there are no decimals. You can change the protocol and add them but then you would have to convince every node operator, miner and user to agree and adopt this new version.

Based. Half of the fun of stacking is dipping your toe in some of these more exotic metals and hoping they run ahead of the pack similar to Pd from 2008-2021. The Pt market is teeny tiny and its ability to vacuum up dollars is going to be minuscule relative to gold and silver. I have a couple ounces and it is sort of the cherry on top of the stack.

Silver is free to break away from gold, but gold can not run away from silver.
If the current mining ratio is 16:1. And the GSR is 84:1 then we have some pretty obvious arbitrage opportunities presenting themselves. Even if it does not play out perfectly, there seems to be some sort of "leash" that ties the two prices together.
Not only do we have precedence for what the GSR should be, but we now have to contend with silver moving from a monetary metal into the industrial metal status. I think the price of silver many decades from (if not sooner) will look far more like Pd and Pt than it will a "monetary commodity". Industry will simply be pricing retail investors out once the current system breaks and we all have to come to terms with that door being slammed shut in our face forever.

Just know that if gold is currently above 2k right now, and then it drops to below 1k, it will likely skyrocket to over 5k in the same year, so be prepared for that possibility desu
