Gut gold and silver will go back down. Seriously, not a fud or a fed, just telling the truth. It will go back down, then up again, then down. That's kinda how this works. And it will be pretty funny too. All the retards FOMOing in now are gonna be super angry at us, saying we tricked them and that they've lost thousands. Because of course they'll sell well below what they bought at, to "cut their losses." Doesn't really matter to me, I'll buy a bit less now, then pick up the pace again when it's lower. Keep stacking frens, but this isn't the happening, not yet.

Picked up the 2017 silver proof set today, now only 3 away from finishing the ATB series (2018, 2019, and 2018 reverse). Probably the lamest ATB set to be desu. Effigy mounds look like shit, Frederick Douglass and Ellis Island are libtard crap. The Ozark and George Rogers Clark Quarters are neat but that's about it. It was only $47 too, so no real harm done.

The coin shop has been wild all of 2023 bros. I used to be able to park anywhere I wanted and usually chat with the coin guys while buying. Now, I have to squeeze into the last available parking spot, everybody's working and there's several customers in front of me. People have been buying it all up. Hell, while I was in there someone was trying to wire $45,000 to buy all of the gold eagles the shop had left. I really think we're nearing the beginning of the end bros.

Go ahead and find something. There are 4 national parks in Iowa:
1- Effigy Mounds National Monument.
2- Herbert Hoover National Historic Site.
3- Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail.
4- Mormon Pioneer National Historic Trail.
I think they picked the best of the lot.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who cares about my stack being worth more dollars, not less
>muh cheapies
I'm really not sitting on much extra money these days what with massive salary freezes and cost of food/fuel/living inflation. I can't even buy the dips anymore.
Serious question since gold is poking at 2k again, and it last did that a few years ago - that doesn't even take inflation into account, right? As in, $2000 USD from 2020 is "$2300" today (if you go by faggoty CPI numbers, actual dollar devaluation probably more like $2600+). So the paper price isn't ACTUALLY testing meaningful valuation points if you consider inflation. PMs going sideways since covid means that our stacks have actually been devaluing in dollars, considerably. I don't WANT to sell my stack for worthless paper, but the concern remains. Like, I'm not holding out for being able to trade a tube of silver for 20 acres after le apocalypse, that's not why anyone should ever get into this.

Alright, here's my tier list looking at the silver state quarters all right next to each other. I'm judging based on the silver proof sculpt, how well the details are made and what iconography is chosen. I'm willing to change stuff around if somebody has a compelling argument.

>Weird/Controversial ones

Texas is so high despite being so basic because the sculpt is just really, really well done. It captures light beautifully and the luster is great.
I love the Idea of New Jersey having General George Washington crossing the river but the sculpt is a mess, I can hardly discern anything. The 2021 quarter had the same motif but done infinitely better.
Rhode Island is another basic one that just looks great in person.
New Hampshire is just a bunch of messy formless rocks, it just looks like someone took a picture of a Lego bucket and converted it to greyscale.
The Kansas Bison is pitiful and looks like a placeholder, it absolutely shouldn't have so much negative space around it.
I like South Dakota having Mount Rushmore but like New Jersey it's a terrible, messy sculpt. ATB did it better.

>>54291577
Pay attention to this shit, any clueless rookies lurking these threads and FOMOing. I put together a decent enough stack over the years, and I can assure you that it would be 5 to 10 times larger if I simply did the opposite of everything that /pmg/ ever said for the past four years.
People used to shill and hype fucking small cap PM mining stocks in here, and now even /cmmg/ won't touch that poison. You'll get no sympathy when it doesn't work out for you

>>54291766
The problem is that we still live in the current monetary system, no matter how broken it is. One can't just drop out of the game years and years early because it feels like it's ending soon. The fact is that if someone sold their entire stack (or never had one) in 2020, put all their cash on Tesla stock like the rest of the world did, and held it until today - they would have enough dollars to buy all the land, lead and bullion they could want. Nobody here ever seems to acknowledge that.

I'll do one for the ATB series as soon as I get the final set but I want to have them all in person before I can properly judge them. But here's a template if you want at it https://tiermaker.com/create/national-park-quarters-2010-2021-827526
But I'll say this much for now: If this had the 2021 "Washington Crossing the Delaware" quarter that would be an easy High A. Hawai'i volcanoes is the easiest GOAT pick, nothing else except possibly the reverse proof block island evens comes close, just the way light bounces off the Volcano's eruption is spectacular. (coincidentally, it's from the most expensive proof set 2012)
And yeah I can understand why why a Michigander would be let down. As a Floridian I was always let down by the Florida state quarter, like both Ponce De Leon's discovery of the New World and the Kennedy space center are fine ways to commemorate the state, just pick one instead of some non-committal clutter. Personally, I would have chosen either Fort Saint Augustine (As the Nation's oldest European Fortress) or an Alligator and Palm Trees (Alligators look cool on coins because the scales reflect light well, probably why birds are so popular on coin)

History of Central Banking was excellent, but take it with a grain of salt. Not everything the guy sourced especially well, he seems to be of the opinion "Fiat is okay if it's state backed fiat". What it's good for is banking and WW2 redpills.
I really liked this book on the US gold and platinum eagles program. It was written by a lifelong coin collector who was also director of the US mint, so he's one of the most creditable sources on coinage there is. Lots of pictures and more than JUST the Gold/Platinum program as well.
For Non-coinage books I'm currently reading "Logos rising: history of the ultimate reality" by E Michael Jones and it is an absolute world-changer.

Considering all silver bars. 25% in 10oz bars or smaller. 75% in greater than 10oz. In case I need to switch from stacker to survivor. Otherwise plan to invest it longterm or pass it to family. My understanding is look at find silver closest to spot. Stay under 10% premiums. Ebay listing use caution with? Any other cautions, suggestions or advice. now that the price is skyrocketing and im making money, im upset that i cant get more at $17 spot, instead of being happy i bought cheap

Not when they are a part of a set that’s released at that same time across multiple states with different incorporations, I mean what would you have preferred with Missouri? Look at Ohio? I had 150k in mine, took out the max loan I could off of it in 2020, I think it was around 30k total, and then stopped adding to it in 2022 as the money just evaporated, shit is still at the same level it was in 2020. I have no idea how to handle hyperinflation's onset, it will be chaos (I imagine they will pass legislation to bar evictions like they did during the lockdowns), but it is better to owe cash and have silver than have cash and not have silver once it kicks off, as your debts will mean less and less

Price going forward will be $100, though I have some first come first serves to parse through with $60 (lower quality) pieces first.
