the story of that shit is really interesting. the tl;dr is (and I hope I got it right) that some american doctor documented how people who had some skin cancer (IIRC) would somehow improve a bit when they had some infections (some 100+ years ago, when docs didn't have the knowledge they have today), so the guy started administering the patients these pathogens and it worked for some of them, but was ignored by the medical community...
a couple of decades ago, some research docs rediscovered his research and realized how valuable it was, and started experimenting. their work has become experimental treatments that are as good or even better than chemotherapy

>Fasting or fasting-mimicking diets (FMDs) lead to wide alterations in growth factors and in metabolite levels, generating environments that can reduce the capability of cancer cells to adapt and survive and thus improving the effects of cancer therapies. In addition, fasting or FMDs increase resistance to chemotherapy in normal but not cancer cells and promote regeneration in normal tissues, which could help prevent detrimental and potentially life-threatening side effects of treatments. While fasting is hardly tolerated by patients, both animal and clinical studies show that cycles of low-calorie FMDs are feasible and overall safe.

Fasting is fine. Fasting is not the same thing as denying yourself carbs. I did fail to clarify that. If you have cancer, and you decide a keto diet is going to save you, you are wrong and your cancer will spread. Some periods of fasting, with carbs still allowed when you break your fast, is perfectly fine.

could you explain how rising interest rates decrease the money supply?
debt, which is the entirety of money in existence, will need to be financed at higher rates, which in turn means more debt (money) to be created.
the only two things decreasing the money supply would be mass bankruptcies and "asset/ownership forfeitures"; both of which are NOT happening.

the fed balance sheet is "somebodies" holdings. the the US gov to repay the principal to the FED they need to issue new debt. it is not a zero sum game.

Yes in excess, but what you also don't want to do is allow your cancer to prefer a different fuel source, which it is fully capable of doing. If you're on keto, and your body is surviving on fat, guess what? Cancer will change it's dietary preferences and spread aggressively. A healthy amount of carbs can keep cancer localized. Too many is bad, too few is bad.

Wall St needed a paypig to exit pump on just before the recession sets in, and AI was the only game in town. Literally all there is to it. Nvidia didn't show anything groundbreaking in the conference the other day.
Look at how Cramer (and other obvious shills) have been shilling the crap out of Nvidia the last week. The signs are all there and when it starts to dump everyone will suddenly act like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
The shooting star on the daily yesterday was the last warning for anyone with a brain. It may still run up a bit but not much for longer.
Also Nvidia isn't the only game in town, CUDA isn't the only way to write AI code, that's just dumb.
For example
https://github.com/timothybrooks/instruct-pix2pix
I work in tech so I deal with this stuff all the time. Watching Nvidia run up like that and everyone act like CUDA is the only way to do AI was kinda amusing ngl.
It helps to not take advice on tech from Wall St shills like Cramer and to actually research the tech for yourself. You could even have asked the AI threads on /g/ if you don't want to take my word for it.

Retracement just means the market moving in the opposite direction. So if it moves up on news, it will soon try going in the opposite direction and retrace some part of that move shortly after. Sometimes this just means going back a bit before continuing, sometimes it's a complete reversal. Using Fibonacci numbers for this is popular, but it seems arbitrary to me.

In practice, some market, let's say ES futures, gets bullish news, shoots up let's say 50 points in a few minutes. You will very often see it drop back 20-30-40 before continuing up. Same with nat gas and storage reports.

I'm saying that it makes more sense to trade this, because you have no idea what the storage report will do. Big traders already priced in whatever their models show, you can't outsmart them. What you can be fairly certain in is that there will be some retracement after the initial move.

Like I said, it's not 100%. There is the rare occasion when there's basically no retracement or it's so small or late that you can't time it. It takes some practice to trade retracements since you need to time it well, but it's doable. I honestly just went by feeling and it worked more often than not. I always moved my position to breakeven very soon because my philosophy was that this is risky, so I'd rather not catch the move than get fucked on it.

Nat gas is a schizo market in general. Difficult to trade but doable and it's especially true on news.

I've been looking at numbers, I think most of what the Street has been replying to are Equity reports. Which is fine, that's their bread and butter. But if you're speaking economy at large, 40-50% of the US at any given time isn't in an Equity traded corporation.
And those companies seem to be getting legs.

I think we already stress tested small businesses in 20-21, and the inflation is stress testing some of the shittiest banks, but the rest of the economy is doing just fine.
