so the banking crisis is still looming but seems paused, it's definitely not 2008 level and seems banks can take the hit for now but it did hit too close to home as for jpow to slow down. in fact him slowing down and announcing a soon pause is a breath of fresh air for the banking system. inflation could spike but given that supply chains are not being as stretched as in 2021 it may actually not be that bad. however, the crisis is far from over as a good chunk of the banking system is still insolvent, and one bad move could make the house of cards fall down, forcing the central banks to brrr its way to the S&P 2500 and sending the USD to forex hell. good news is that now that can at least not happen.
