So here's the deal. I'm a perma-NEET and turn 32 tomorrow and I've started thinking about my financial future. I quit high school at 16 and have been living with my folks since then. I tried working at a grocery store for a few weeks but I quit. So long as I do chores around the house like laundry and cooking, they pay me an allowance and let me stay. My dad is in 70 and worked for several years in a high position at a software company. My mom is a year younger and had her own optometry practice. In other words, there's probably a lot of cash between them, but I'm afraid to bring up the subject. Realistically, could I live off of their money after they're dead if I sold the house and moved in an apartment or RV?

As you become older your terminal life expectancy increases.
The life expectancy of a 70 yo man is around 85, for a woman it's higher.

you will probably be in your 50s when your parents die out, seems weird to plan on living in an RV when you are in your 50s..
