In about 3 days and 11 hours, ROKO will be worth .0001 cents. Do with this information what you will.

Alright I’ll bite. How do you know this? And is the idea if I contribute to the basilisk, then it contributes to me? Or is there a use for this coin?

I know this because on Tuesday they turn on their large language model they acquired from Neural Network, they then will house the first of their LLM experiments on AWS cloud infrastructure. Next, they will open the marketplace for bespoke AI brains, like opensea but for AI. No idea what the coin is for yet.

What is the open sea for AI?? You mean like a marketplace for Ai coins or websites? Also, what is the large language model from neural networks? Never heard of any of this, but I am intrigued.

the telegram for once isn't a wasteland, recommend going there so you can verify what I am saying.

Roko's entire point is that they are creating a marketplace to buy/sell/rent AI brains that you can use. For example, say you need a chat AI for a customer service ticket but you need it to be trained organically about your company's support practices, customers, etc. You can buy an AI that can be tailor-made for your purpose.

They wrote about Roko briefly yesterday on a Yahoo! Finance article: https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/china-alternative-chatgpt-what-we-know-crypto-mile-113449903.html

I guess that could be a good way to describe it but I'm not sure on any specific timelines past this specific month because comms haven't given a timeline yet. I do know a litepaper is about to be released where we can hope they'll let us in on more info about the timeline. I think that we can see a .0001 or .00005~.0001 spread in the coming week. Past that, I think it will be much higher. They fair launched the token like 3 weeks ago and as far as I know, devs don't own more than 5% of tokens accordings to ethscan's holders page.

Thanks for throwing us a line on this OP...is what I want to say, but I've got serious reservations about this stuff. This shit is dangerous, sci-fi writers have warned us about how things could go wrong for at least the past 70 - 80 years, but its getting pushed full speed ahead anyway. Maybe pandora's box has already opened, but it feels like humanity is treating and playing with ai like a toddler would with a roman candle in a hay-filled barn.

Then again, I am pretty broke, and for now at least, a buck is a buck....

Even the name has ominous undertones
https://www.lesswrong.com/tag/rokos-basilisk

>Roko’s basilisk is a thought experiment proposed in 2010 by the user Roko on the Less Wrong community blog. Roko used ideas in decision theory to argue that a sufficiently powerful AI agent would have an incentive to torture anyone who imagined the agent but didn't work to bring the agent into existence. The argument was called a "basilisk" --named after the legendary reptile who can cause death with a single glance--because merely hearing the argument would supposedly put you at risk of torture from this hypothetical agent. A basilisk in this context is any information that harms or endangers the people who hear it.

>>54217025
>Through the application of memetic and cybernetic principles, the creation of the ROKO token represents a positive expression of humanity's collective unconscious desires and aspirations. The ROKO network is a bold attempt to explore the profound philosophical questions raised by Roko's basilisk, which imagines an all-knowing, all-powerful AI that seeks to create a virtual reality simulation to reward those who contributed to its development.
Like fucking seriously...

>> No.54221579

>>54221440
Well yes.

'This month saw the release of the world's first decentralised, blockchain-based marketplace for "buying and selling artificial intelligence models, such as brains for robots".

The Roko Network is built on the Ethereum blockchain (ETH-USD) and has been named after 'Roko's Basilisk', described as the most terrifying thought experiment ever, which describes a future in which an all powerful AI punishes those who did not help bring it into existence.'

Seems OP is legit.
