It hurts but it's understandable. The few people taking the $5-$10 fv of old coins their grandpa had that the coinstar wouldn't accept to a coinshop ts vastly outweighed by people buying $100 fv with retirement money. And since no government or private mint wants to make fractional silver without comically retarded premiums themselves, it just defaults back to people buying US 90%.

I can usually tell what packages have metals in them. They're denser than most, and usually taped better, particularly on the edges. Bonus points for signature required. If you have a regular mailman they have a pretty good profile of you in their head, have probably noticed any ads you get from metal companies / conservative political flyers / gun material. Don't know if others would put 2+2 together if they weren't interested in PMs though.

Sovereign Saurus' bank tried to stop him buying gold.

https://youtu.be/xsW2kkqx670

This is the second time I've heard this happen, the first was Maneco64 a couple of weeks ago. Now, I've had security checks come through my phone when purchasing gold online, but I haven't had the need to phone up my bank and tell them to unlock it. I get the feeling this is going to happen more and more in the near future to limit cash leaving the banks.

I used jmbullion's free shipping a week ago. Ordered on Sunday, arrived on Wednesday with the regular mail. The USPS live tracking with phone text notifications worked well. Like the other posts said, the small cardboard box was taped up and label didn't have the sender's name or anything obvious on it.

When I first moved here they sometimes delivered letters to the next door neighbor with a confusingly similar address, but after I complained they fixed that, brought my mail reliably, and even started delivering some of the neighbor's packages to me instead. Fedex went through the same process with the same problems, so USPS was competitive enough.

Think about how stupid the average person is. Now realize that half of all people are dumber than that.

To study economics and understand how important precious metals are historically as money, and how undervalued they are today is super simple to understand. You do now have to be terribly intelligent to comprehend it. The real problem is that most people are completely uncurious and do not think criticality, or for themselves. They simply get by believing everything they are told like sheep being farmed by the would be rulers of society.

Any PMGers see this?
Bitcoin maxi literally bet 2million cornsyrupmarks we'll see hyperinflation within (two weeks) x 13.
Going to be a wild ride if true.
What would solid signs of hyperinflation be? At what point would it make sense to debtmax, assuming one had access to a decent line of credit?
Obviously "official" inflation stats would lag by at least a month, so what are some other solid indicators that its time to go all in?
I'm thinking something like rapid price increases at grocery stores (more than 3x in a week of staple goods like bread/milk) and gold/silver going up double digits multiple days.

I understand the point you're making (authentic), however allow me to counter.
There are fake coins now.
Just because it's a maple doesn't mean it's not a plated maple look alike. There is nothing inherently better about 1oz .999 brand A vs. 1oz .999 brand B. A better argument may actually be for .999 fine vs krugerands as the copper may help them hold up better and not be dented if dropped. Though a counter to that would be if desired to melt down you have to sift out the copper, however trivial it may be it's still an extra step.

Unless you're asking in another sense I'm misunderstanding, such as "so the populace knows this item has an agreed upon value whereas a lump of silver has to be weighed because 1.4oz may feel no different than 1.6 oz and you can't expect people to weigh everything when precise scales weren't readily available.

The fact it can be called a coin makes it different, some IRA funds don't like generic bullion and tax laws work differently for coins, just as an example. And yes absolutely trust is a factor, dealers have seen and felt thousands of silver eagles and maples so they'll know right off the bat what a proper one is like. It's way easier to convince someone that the silver eagle you're selling is really silver than it is the round of a very poorly minted buffalo design.

Yeah you've definitely attributed more thought to my question than I have.
I don't get why (back when money wasn't fiat) they'd bother making coins at all if the same weight of the same metal has the same intrinsic value.

Depends on the shop, but I would imagine most shops in the US would price European coins for less than American coins. Canadian and Mexican coins are also popular here, so I could see them selling for more than European coins. Consult your LCS for more details.

Or alternatively the price could just be renegotiated?

I mean really if it's really that big of a deal that you get payed only in ASEs then that should be something you agree to beforehand. Silver, and gold for that matter as real money are entirely fungible, and the value of them can be determined by the purity and weight. No other aspect of them matters when they are being used as "money". If you want a numismatic collectable fine, but don't try to use it as a metric of trade that you expect to be universally accepted.

You're a fellow stacker so I'll give you some advice, stop watching pornography, start exercising, and stop taking your titty skittles. If you didn't castrate yourself you can still live a normal life, and if you did, you can at least live a dignified life.
If you're still alive in 10 years, you'll look back and realize chuds were the only people looking out for your best interests. All the other trannies in your discord server are crabs in a bucket trying to keep everyone else as miserable as they are, all the butchers and glorified drug dealers are just making a quick buck off you, and all the evil people pushing this trans fad just want to destabilize the West so they can replace it with brown people to be their slave underclass.

Oh nice. I have a few creme ladles as well. I should go big and get a nice soup ladle or two. Soup ladles are the top tier of silver spoons, I cant find it right now but theres a couple rare 2-handed lades from the 1800s. the ones I saw were quite pricey. I found gravy ladles were an undervalued niche when I was shopping and I fell in love with em
