Holy fucking shit, he is actually right... This call is on a similar magnitude as Michael Burry's.

Then he’s a moron. We are going to keep sinking into stagflation.
Hyperinflation would require nothing less than WW3.

Anon some banks that recently failed literally got bought up by other banks with the money that Powell sent to them through his printing machine. Its over.

Classic confidence trick. A guy says "I have so much faith X will happen, I will stake money on it!" Other people take him seriously, and therefore take X seriously (in this case, a mega BTC pump). This encourages a self-fulfilling prophecy of bank withdrawals and BTC growth, but definitely doesn't guarantee $1M BTC.

However, what do you think Srinivasan's total BTC holdings are? Even if he loses the bet, if he can increase his net worth by more than $1M from making this bet in the first place, it's worth it to him.
>Balaji Srinivasan is a successful entrepreneur and investor with a net worth of over $1.5 billion.
$1.5 BILLION. How much of that is in BTC, do you think? ANY price move to the upside thanks to his tweet will make him money, whether he wins the bet or not. It would be like Elon saying he bets BTC will hit $50k by June. Same trick. Don't be bamboozled.

Doesn't matter what they ban, there will be a black market regardless.

Did you know in Argentina there is a whole industry of underground cash markets that exchange pesos for dollars and even have motorbike couriers going around doing deliveries, because the first thing people do there when they get paid is exchange their pesos for dollars. The same thing will exist with BTC, except even easier because all you need is an online p2p market.

his concern has nothing to do with increasing his wealth. its pointless to reply to that anon. but since you requested, here i am. balaji has enough money, a simple bet like that is not the same calculation as normie anon is making. balaji's track record is warning of covid months in advance and everything that would come about as a result. he's doing the same thing here. he is warning you.

oh, and as a bonus, he's a chainlink advisor. the only other coin that matters besides bitcoin. unironically.

>hyperinflation CAN'T HAPPEN NOOOO
it can and it will, rapidly, and then the dollar will be abandoned like it never existed. same as the transition from reichsmark to rentenmark. it will happen so quickly that you will wonder how anyone ever valued the dollar whatsoever - and you will perhaps come to understand that money is fake and the "problems with the economy" are fake because they are purely monetary in nature. and that can all change with a simple stroke of a pen

Isn't this the guy who interviewed Vitalik a while back? Cool podcast but a terrible way to start desuu, Vitalik might be a relic of the past but if you start a channel with high profile guests you need to Constantly up the stakes, who are you going to book that could possibly be bigger than the boy genius who invented a virtual money burning engine that destroys value worldwide.
It's all down from here.

what i don't understand is even if it increases his net worth by more than 1M$, why would the price stay there once people realize he lost his bet and bitcoin goes back to swinging like crazy. only way out for him is if he liquidates his bitcoins before that happens

>> No.54203129

The bet was a marketing cost. That's it.
No one talked about this guy and now that he made this bet people can't stop talking about him. It got him a ton of attention. What people with tons of money value is influence because that's not something that can be bought easily.
