The market moves in these neat little waves up up up crab crab crab down down down. 5min chart. MACD buy puts at the peaks and calls at the troughs. Big lots of em, 20-50 per go. If you are early nightingale them aka double your position and average down and then wait for the reversal. You’ll at least be able to break even depending on feel or hold for 2-3x.

Once you turn 2k into 4 keep trading the 2k cause it’s free money. My bread and butter is .25-50 cent options though sometimes I’ll go as high as a dollar. I generally try to be flat before the last hour of trading and maybe take a position in that last hour depending how I feel. Almost always cover by close minus ten cause stuff really moves then and your 30 cent option can go to five in a blink of an eye.

We're just going to crab to wednesday. Volatility on a single day doesn't matter. It's like in october when people were screaming because the market went up 3% in a day, then went down 3% in a day, then resumed trending upwards on the next day. Once the market has made a bottom and begins trending upwards it doesn't matter too much about the particulars.

Today's candle was red, but didn't manage to actually break below yesterday's or close below wednesday's low point, so unless monday is a fat circuit breaker down we'll probably trend up, tuesday a red retrace candle, wednesday opens violently red, then violent green reversal towards the end of the day. That's your volatility.

It's not unpredictable because the market isn't actually truly 'volatile', just hitting a point where it stops going down and begins trending upwards. But people get caught up in the moment. If you zoom out over a peroid of years you will see similar patterns play out. But in bear markets the 'down' times of year- december march, may, september- are exaggerated and more violently down, while the bounces are weaker during the up times of year. In election years you also have to worry about the beginning of november being red.

But there is never truly an unexpected black swan, like july being -20%.
