The best LCS in my area is just this small 'Cash For Gold' store. Guy has a random rotating stock of whatever, but he always sells close to melt for most things. Back when spot was $25, he'd sell Silver Eagles for like $27.50. Other day he sold me a few Silver Ikes and 40% Kennedy's for melt. Sometimes I go in and just clean out everything he's got because it's so cheap.

Where do you anons buy for lowest premiums? Have been looking around and can't seem to find a single PM site that doesnt rape you even when buying decently large amounts?

Am I to constantly watch ebay for auctions and hope raw walking liberty's, peace dollars and Morgan's slip through somewhat cheap even though they are almost always in "cleaned" condition, or buy large bags of junk silver from PM sites just for the weight.

Even when going directly to the manufacturer sites like Scottsdale or similar there isnt much of a difference.

Where to buy, or is there no way to avoid taking an immediate loss? Is this just the way it works with PMs?

why do people even buy the coins when bars are way cheaper per ounce?

Also, can it be economical to invest in silver when 21% VAT is charged on the purchase of silver? This can be circumvented by buying the coins, but the price is still so high.

Gold was not engineered to destroy anything. Gold is money. Everything else was designed to undermine that. Bitcoin, and crypto by extension, was literally designed and engineered to be what gold naturally is without effort. The difference is Bitcoin and Crypto are supposed to combine the good of gold/silver and the convenience of digitalization. The only issue is Bitcoin was supposed to BE money, now it's just being treated as a stock where people put cash in and expect to get cash out. Also at the end of the day, for better or worse, gold is real. It's tangible. It's finite.

True from a certain point of view. Sometimes I imagine landing in a scenario where I could've done more for the people I care about (much less someone I love) if I hadn't used up resources on optional joys though. Besides, in what's to come, how sure are you that you can find someone who won't be tempted away by someone with a bigger stack? In some cases, especially for the safety of children. One day the planet will be free of such pitfalls, but that day is not yet. In fact, concerning that day no one knows when it will come except God.

Eventually, I'll get to this point (though I probably won't set everything as priviledge), but currently I've got the terrible two and the crawling and eating everything phase (the combination is especially nice!), and it's a lot of fun.
But if stuff's going to continue as it is, an ounce of silver will buy me some animals and my gold the farm to go with it (pic related) and then they will have a lot of work to do on the farm I bought with my stack, so it's all gonna be good!

Since 2015. I had a thing where I just loved to spend on payday. Never had any savings. Then discovered PMs and could both spend and save. Finally managed to aquire a little wealth just in time to watch the banks burn :)

I wish I was where you are right now. I'm in the process of selling my old DJ equipment just so I can get some gold, but it's looking by the time I do (I need to get a specialized screw for the mixer as it is missing) the fiat price might moon to the point it wouldn't be worth it.

I'm waiting for the general crash and the margin calls. With luck there'll be some left in stock, and I can get in before the premiums skyrocket.
Then again, for me missing out on this particular bump isn't a big deal.

someone calculated a while ago that silver should be $4000/ozt based on historical value measurements

and given gold was historically 1:10 to 1:15 gold to silver, gold should be 40k-60k per ozt

I think we are going to be stunned by just how much toxic paper needs to be properly accounted for. We can see the exponential nature of the money system running away, and most people have their money tucked away in the paper-ponzi. The big paper ponzi is literally just a place you park your paper so the financiers can chase after a few basis points for you. When shit starts to truly topple over we'll find that the losses get monetized. So you work and save up enough money to buy 10 cows. But when it comes time to retire your paper will only buy 5. Everyone's wealth is going to evaporate.

desu don't worry anon, pms fluctuate and we still aren't at 2021 prices. Even then you're going to pay a $200 premium on a gold ounce regardless of spot. So if you're in it for the long haul it doesn't matter much
